man, that is the first time I've heard anyone mention "multi-user dungeon" without me bringing it up first in my entire life I think

It's always seemed tragic to me, because text is so much easier for any given person to learn how to do than good graphics. I was kind of hoping the whole thing would turn out to be *just* that, but I think that just makes me old...

Back in college I bought a used instructor's edition of my Math book. My teacher actually complemented me because that way it had all the answers so I would always know if my work was wrong. I didn't realize that it was an instructor's edition till it arrived and was absolutely paranoid that I would get kicked out of the class, so I put a homemade duct tape cover on it to hide it's edition from the class. Then one day I was the only person out of 20+ people present to bring my book to class with me. I got to go make copies of the coursework for the entire class. The jig was up and I confessed. He smiled and laughed and said he'd have done the same thing.

lol--Nook finding out how expensive things are, and decreases his gift amount, not seeming to notice that though it goes up a bit, she SAYS: "Where's the rest of it? I must admit I am disappointed." Then he lowers it even more and she gets even snarkier! (But it still went up a little bit.)

@Nookrium , 1:29:54 This is a real thing called Perpetual Stews :) Very common in medieval times... but there's a place in Japan that has had one running since 1945, and another in France that went for over 300 years!!! but didn't survive the second world war... I vaguely recall reading somewhere that they started another batch sometime after.

Also, don't be afraid to buy a college book that's a year or two older than the one that the college claims you need. They usually do that to try and refresh the amount of money the author gets by making a "new version" which usually translates to "the author changed a few cosmetic things to justify that the college book is a new edition" when it's nothing more than a shuffle and cosmetic skin... In retrospect, that makes me realize that cosmetic IAP's were a thing before games adopted them...

exploit for anyone picking the game up: Just like every other game which has saving and gambling, you can save scum the gambling if you don't feel like grinding out money.

Yeah, it's a bit pricey for what you get right now. After several hours playing the game I decided to wait at least several months to see some progress. Right now you have... - ~6 arcane spells - ~4 fire and frost spells - ~2 storm spells - 1 earth spell The dungeons all use the same graphics, whether they are tombs, caves or whatever. My personal pet peeve is that the only loot I've ever found in LIBRARY rooms is bit of money. After getting some minimal gear the only dangerous enemies are goblin mages because they give you chance to miscast your spells since miscasts punch straight through to your health. Everything else is a joke after you get some basic gear for starting armor and learn any armor spell. The only reason currently to talk with NPCs is to up your reputation with innkeepers to save money. Many quests are pain in the ass to deal with, mostly because they require you to find nodes for resources. Organic nodes grow back overtime (herbs, wood etc.), but non-organic (steel, stone, jade etc.) don't, so the ones that require non-organic resources quickly become more bother than worth. Inventory is quite small and vendors never pay you well even if you spend time increasing relations with them. This is made worse by the fact that you don't have any storage options in cities. I just ended up eating any food I found right away to clear space, then sell most gear I found just to make space. All in all I bought the game for the interesting ideas and potential rather than what is available right now. I'm hoping for good things in the future, but I honestly can't recommend the game until it gets some significant content updates.

Pricey game but one to keep an eye on, it's very much the sort I am interested in, but I have a rule to never buy early access anymore... burnt too many times. Side note, IMO it would be nice if there was a bit more loot from the dungeons would be nice.

First time I ever bought a game before I saw you try it. It is not a pretty game but it is a lot of fun. I really like it.

I like the depth and the sandbox potential .. but i think the game limiting itself by focusing on "Mage class ONLY" . Maybe "Fighter-Rogue-Ranger-Mage-Priest" ? (the basic classes) . Maybe they decided the "Mage only" approach could have been the most interesting ( and saved some bucks by not-enriching it) but .. idk .. i play "rogue" class with every chance :)

I mean, while you're are indeed "a mage", you're REALLY a bag of all trades in this game. At least in the current version where the magic is still quite limited.

_i think the game limiting itself by focusing on "Mage class ONLY"_ I'm just the reverse, I think. A very small development company with little time or money might be better off focusing on something specific, rather than trying to do everything another RPG would do. From what I hear, they don't have much content, anyway. But we'll see. It's interesting, so I hope they get enough funds to make it work.

Also it’s inspired by Raistlan from Dragonlance. Rise or a mage that tries to rule the world.
