I've checked quite a few archspire auditions, so far i think this is one of the most accurate and technique display is great. Would love to see Golden Mouth of Ruin. Those gravity blasts are something applicants should demonstrate they can endure!

Oh my goodness, for real, man. This was the most impressive stuff I've seen in quite some time, and I seek and see various drum videos daily and been a drummer for 30+ yrs. You have an amazing groove and musicality compared to ANY other drummer that I've seen play Archspire. That kit, sounds spot on, amazing raw mix. 5/5, diamond tier stuff, left me speechless. Out of all the audition videos this guy probably has the best technique and fundamentals out of any other drummer. his arm switch-ups and hand technique are just... on another level. Finesse doesn't even begin to describe it.

Definitely not raw audio, I see a trigger on the snare and the toms. Undoubtedly the bass drums are also triggered. The cymbals do just sound like overhead mics though.

Probably the cleanest audition with the least amount of extra editing, it definitely feels unquantized but that’s why it’s so sick. Spencer isn’t the absolute robot people think they want, there is so much nuance in his playing, his human elements are what brings this band to life and think this dude can accurately emulate that

I think you’ve got it in the bag. Ridiculous speed, your accuracy and timing is impeccable, you know how and when to play the cymbals to accent the phrasing of the other instruments/vocals, and your conservation of motion and thus stamina is dialed in. Amazing work.
