I have a feeling this will get the same response as when Jeff Loomis first tried out for Megadeth when he was around 15. Dave told Jeff, "You're absolutely amazing, but you're too young to tour with us." Considering Loomis is now one of the most respected metal guitarists in the world, I'd say everything worked out for the best. I think a similar tale will be told of Momo in decades to come :D

When all you have to do is focus on technique (feet swivels, finger rolls,etc) and timing without exerting energy to produce enough power to project your strikes (dynamic volume control) then it's not the same amount of work. Not trying to insult anyone, it's just a fact. He's not solely producing the sound from the head strikes. Same as a triggered kit.
