I am praying that We Talked A Lot Together doesn't give Dizzy a shield like in previous games. For those that didn't play the old games, I'm not talking about a projectile trade. That move, also known as Ice Fish, used to essentially give Dizzy a hit of armor. If an opponent's hitbox hit Dizzy but ALSO hit the Ice Fish, Ice Fish would take the blow and Dizzy wouldn't get hit at all, similar to how Zato-1's "Oppose" (Eddie H) works.

Dont worry wings might be harder to get off than it looks if you look at 0:19 - 0:23 ky hits dizzy right after she pops wings and it cancels it so.. if you can get in and just tap her she has to re-set it up.. by then she may want to spend the meter on something else.. but thats my thought process

As a decent sol player with minimal range I see no problems with a character that can spam infinite range attacks (just gotten ranges spammed on me by 5 dizzies in a row and couldn’t get closer cause I’m not a god at blocking every 0.2 nanoseconds)

Out of everything i could gather wings of light seems the most nuclear of moves. first off that damage is insane. the only things holding it back is the fact that, 1, you have to be up close with the opponent, 2, how long it takes for it to come out, 3, the tension it eats up, and 4, if you get hit you loose it anyways. even with that in mind, the damafe seems insane. granted we have no idea how her normals are on block, she could be negative as hell and that could provide the opening for a jab to stop it all, and if you try and turtle your likely going to either get mixed or thrown so there does seem to be some counterplay. even with all this in mind. this just seems very unstable. similar to the slayer pikebunker loops, once she gets this going, your pratically done for. GRANTED (ONE MORE TIME) everyone else seems to be getting buffs so we wont really know untill it comes out. i know im at least a little biased concidering she is my favorite character from xrd, and ive already known i was going to main her before this came out. I want to say she wont be THAT BAD. but i can say i am very concered about this one move.

A bit disappointed as a Dizzy player from +R. I knew she wouldn’t retain everything but it looks like she lost more than I thought. For starters I am going to assume that fish no longer takes the hit for her when she is near it because they probably would have mentioned that here. Additionally they still haven’t shown her in the air much a sign that they have completely gutted her air movement. She also lost bubble, one of her signature specials. To replace the lost stuff we got Michael sword which is a cool reference to mommy Justice and decent looking move. Wings of light, a borderline useless gimmick. Gamma Ray is kind of useful now, after three games of it being a complete waste of meter. The one actually cool thing she got is freeze, which is the only thing that could make up for what she has lost.

They took away a lot of her space control in the air and her approach/lockdown with laser fish. My guess is Asuka already exists so they wanted to go a different route with her? I think it still sucks as she was a fun character to fill the screen with projectiles while weaving in and out zoning and rushdown. I just think of “Controlled chaos” when I think of Xrd Dizzy. Now your play is going to revolve around ice pillar, ice fish, and freeze. Michael sword is def strong but a well timed air dash read can prob blow it up if the Dizzy isn’t prepared or doesn’t have the meter to RC.
