What I enjoyed most about this video was the raw emotion and transparency of fear to the viewer that is conveyed. Amazing visuals.

"When operating in a really serious environment we all have to trust each other not only to make good safety decisions, but to truly be a team. In an environment like Helmcken we all "lifeguard" for each other". Will Gadd 'Frozen Titans: The Making Of' - A behind the scenes look at the film 'Frozen Titans' by Reel Water Productions featuring Arc'teryx athlete Will Gaddl and his successful mixed climb of a frozen Helmcken Falls, a 141m (463 ft) waterfall on the Murtle River in Wells Gray Provincial Park BC.

What an incredible location and amazing project to work on. As a location sound Recordist myself, that’d be a really tough gig to do, serious kudos to Pablo here.

7:35 a drone would have worked a lot better than a helicopter, wouldn't it?? Those bastards can go at some pretty crazy cold temps in my experience... but maybe this is beyond what I'm aware of. Either way that heli had to be pricey even compared to the best drones out there.

They wanted to use a Cineflex, which is a bit big and heavy for most drones ;)

Have you seen how frozen clothing can be torn like paper. What about the physical properties of climbing rope.

so you guys bolted an otherwise untouched natural place? that not exactly in the spirit of climbing

he obviously got picked up by the heli in the next clearing and then someone got dropped off to unbolt and get the ropes duhhh
