Thank you for taking the time to show the whole process. It made life a lot easier after watching this and replacing my pull cord for the first time.

Thanks so much for this video. I didn't find this one until after a saw another one on YT. Yours was much more in depth and informational. The setting of the spring tension was the key to getting mine back in working order!

Do you need to take the spring out to just replace the rope?
@powertech21707 жыл бұрын
MN Outdoors Yes you do, unfortunately!
@MNDood21227 жыл бұрын
Why? It stayed wound up in the case. I could take out the plastic wheel replace the rope and put it all back together all without touching the spring
@powertech21707 жыл бұрын
Oh yes my bad...been awhile since I did one, but your right you can let the spring wound up. The one in the video had blew apart on the sled before and I decided since I have rewound it I would make a video on it.
@509FUN3 жыл бұрын
No you don’t… totally unnecessary just leave the spring in there pull the Plastic round for the rope out carefully and the spring will stay in place. I’ve done many many of these and never pulled a spring out unless it was broken

@@karsonwebersole9346 "Recoil Spring Rewind Tool" is sparse on the internet. Only one spendy one from Rocwood for $33. You might consider selling the ones you make! Great video.
