Don´t get me wrong, they´re still one of my really favorite bands and i do in fact listen to the AM, they´re great musicians but i don´t think it is as instrumentally rich as.. lets say Humbug or the other albums.. i´ve seen them live 3 times in the past 2 years and you know.. man they just sound different, songs are slower, the bass is almost muted.. but anyways, it happens a lot with bands that grow up.

And John Bonham is an inspiration to every drummer whether they realize it or not. But he's like at the bottom of the totem pole compared to Bonham my friend haha.

@AmaliaRizkas7 жыл бұрын
Idon't have a problem with those people though, I also admit that I was also one of them but eventually it just bugs me as I can't see anything but cellphones at concerts. At that time, cellphones, cameras, you name it -- it's true that back then they're not as popular as they are now, I just think that nowadays people are more focusing on the recording rather than the ambience of the concert itself. But then it's their choice
@prmusic29716 жыл бұрын
Nur Yesti Aqeesha people don't film the birth of their child, but they remember it as one of the happiest days in their lives. When you film something it's just 2D, you might aswell not go to the concert and watch it on KZbin. However your mind can do so much more, you remember how you felt, the excitement, the atmosphere. Little things like how it smelt and how the ground shook as the crowd bounced up and down. If you close your eyes and think really hard you can put yourself back their and relive it all. Cameras are great and all but nothing will ever replace the human brain
@dayshawna6 жыл бұрын

Seriously people still argue about the band's appearance? In my opinion, some fans have the ability to grow up with the members of the band, others aren't able, unfortunately. Okay, maybe Arctic Monkeys aren't the same for you, but for me and a LOT of people in the world, they are. The tendency is always to improve, not worsen. I'm just saying it 'cause I see some people saying that "AM" isn't a worthy album, etc. bullshit. I love the new and the old Arctic Monkeys, I love the new and old songs. The old videos are here for everyone. "The new Arctic Monkeys" are here to continue living. I fuckin' love these guys since 2007.

@karolinesilvap9 жыл бұрын
***** And you say it based on what? what kind of bad experience you had with them? honestly, they're the same guys ever. I met them offstage, they're friendly and gave attention to all the fans who were around there. The problem is their behavior? it's the change of style? Anyway, none of the options are valid. About behavior, I have already given my opinion based on real events with them and about changes on music, well .. one of the things I love about Arctic Monkeys is: they were never the same, every new album, something is different. Change is often necessary for bands, just let's face it, every band undergoes evolution. Personally, I don't mind the change. Anyway, it's my opinion, and I love Arctic Monkeys.
@karolinesilvap9 жыл бұрын
***** Ok, it's your opinion. but please keep common sense on and don't say "AM" is a bad album 'cause it isn't and most fans agree with me. Imagine if they were still using the exact same style that they had in earlier albums. Sure, that might be what you'd prefer, but the complaints would come rolling in eventually. My top favorite Monkeys songs still remain amongst their older albums, but that doesn't mean I despise their new stuff, I grew up with them also in this sense. Arctic Monkeys will surprise everyone in next album and I have no doubt about it. Sure will be successful too.

💜 A certain romance.. Well oh they might wear classic Reeboks Or knackered Converse Or tracky bottoms tucked in socks But all of that's what the point is not The point's that there isn't no romance around there And there's the truth that they can't see They'd surely like to throw a punch at me And if you could only see them, then you would agree Agree that there isn't no romance around there You know Oh it's a funny thing you know We'll tell them if you like We'll tell them all tonight They'll never listen Cause their minds are made up And course it's all okay to carry on that way Over there there's broken bones There's only music, so that there's new ringtones And it doesn't take no Sherlock Holmes To see it's a little different around here Don't get me wrong though there's boys in bands And kids who like to scrap with pool cues in their hands And just cause he's had a couple of cans He thinks it's alright to act like a dickhead Don't you know it's a funny thing you know We'll tell them if you like We'll tell them all tonight They'll never listen Cause their minds are made up And course it's all okay to carry on that way But I said "no", oh no Well, you won't get me to go Not anywhere, not anywhere No, I won't go, no, no, no Well over there there's friends of mine What can I say, I've known them for a long long time And they might overstep the line But you just cannot get angry in the same way

Just the drummer giving props to "The Black Keys" sold me. Very different and yet a very similar structure to the oldest of pop songs without being overtly pop. Great performance, great bass work as well, very impressed. They've got the hooks, the have the chops, who knows what will be next. Bands grow so slowly. Until Twilight, nobody even knew who "The Black Keys" were and I had been listening for years, oh well, I'll take progression where I can find it. Cheers.
