No, THIS is the best version of "Pretty Visitors" I've ever seen - by far. July 2018 at the Mad Cool Festival in Spain. His voice being even deeper now makes it more creepy. Alex just lets it rip. Unreal. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIbNqYOcdqiibNU

officeaddict33 i’ve seen someone say that one was the best before but i don’t get why, it’s just like any other performance of pretty visitors. or maybe it’s just me but my favorite performance is from 2013 kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqG3o5t9jKuirs0
@officeaddict336 жыл бұрын
His voice is deeper than ever - that's why. A dark song like that sounds creepier, more sinister with a deeper voice and Alex's voice has just gotten deeper over the years. Also, he absolutely throws himself into the performance at the Mad Cool Festival. The 2013 performance of "Pretty Visitors" was really good - it just felt like the more recent performances he's almost possessed ...lol.

It took me until my second or third time listening to Humbug for it to really catch on with me. It was sort of a shock the first time around because it was such a large deviation from the style they set up in the first two records. Now, I still love it more and more every time I listen to it. While still not my FAVORITE of their works, I really do believe that it was artistically their greatest accomplishment. It's that rare kind of good that surprises you every time you listen to it.
