Does anyone else notice the similarity of the opening bass line to that of "Evil" by Interpol. Very similar structure just in a different key. AM have talked about being fans of Interpol so I wonder if this was a direct tribute to them. So cool. Love both bands.

+chrisattigliato1 Leno was recorded in Burbank, Calif. and the arctic monkeys were playing in FL (across the country) and the selmer and Magnatone probably were sent to the venue ahead of time. I don't doubt he has backups, but still easier to rent an ac30 (Similar sound to selmer) and a hot rod (Similar sound to magnatone when dialed right).

The kit sounding awful was just a dumb pun to "ear" not being a brand and the shades was referring to other monkey tv performences. But I forgot that any form of "being bad" and "needs to" will be struck down with furious anger on the internet. Now the head and kit are just Pearl in-house gear used because Helders wasnt able to get his Premier kit on the show and thats why the logo is taped off in a funny way. Look at the Conan R U Mine were Helders is using his Premier and the toms sound lower.
