I love this album. You gotta give this one time like on humbug, though its not like humbug at all. It's actually a summer album which it is mainly made to due to the sound of guitar. The guitar sounds slaggish and clangorous, just how you feel being under the burning sun for a while but enjoying it. I mean they've been in the desert for all this time. An example for this guitar sound is the beginning of the "Hellcat..". Driving in your car in summer this album is fulfilling its job in my oppinion! :)

I replay them consistently in the car and here at home. The fact their sound has shifted a bit isn't a bad thing, because I think they pull it off really well. People who are still hung up on their early stuff can get bent and shouldnt be making comments like "oh but t3h munkees lost their youthfulness!" Yea but they've traded it to retain sincerity.

Personally I think it amazingly well made! He was just criticizing two songs Brick By Brick and Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved You're Chair for a majority of the video... Those two songs are still played in till today, 'cause their catchy and memorable. He says it's similar to previous albums but long windedly... Their not, they've added in back-in vocals it's a very different sound! The lyrics are a lot maturer and varied than the previous ones. (Humbug was well written) Listen to songs like Suck It & See, Love Is A LazerQuest and That's Where You're Wrong they are amazing! (The problem with this review by the creator of this video, is that it's his opinion not a review... When you create a review you need to be neutral! Look at the good and bad points)

This is my favorite Arctic Monkeys album. Simply put in one word: catchy. I don't really like how people hate on a band for one thing and then they try something else and then get more hate. One major thing I disagree on is how the album "jumps around". I think this album has the strongest mix of slow/fast songs on it.

Okay I agree Brick By Brick doesn't have great lyrics, but it has fantastic guitar, it's complex to play. You may not like the album, but you have to understand they're trying to change their sound and you have to give them props for that. Some bands fail to do it and sound the same for 5 albums.

I do kind of agree with this, even though Suck It and See is one of my favourite albums. They did indeed, release their most intolerable songs as singles, and I honestly do not like them at all. But, if we split the album in half, excluding She's Thunderstorms, then the second half is in almost every way superior to the first. The flow of the last 5 songs and the lyrics to them are really powerful and quite emotional, and it just gives you a punch when you realize it's sort of like a story and they all connect in a way. It ends on a sort of bittersweet, nostalgic note with That's Where You're Wrong and I really enjoyed that. I kind of get what he means with the seemingly arbitrary lines in some of the songs, but most of them, if connected together, create quite the story within the song. Also, if we ignore the band's past and just focus on this album as a whole, it's honestly not too bad except for the first half of the album. Overall, I'd say this review is pretty fair, except for the sort of underlying expectation to stick to their roots a bit more, but in all honesty, I'd say that's also fair as well.

The Arctic Monkeys are one of all time favorite bands! Suck it and See was the first album I listened to and it's when I fell madly in love with them. This led me to listen to more of their older stuff, which I love as well but I definitely like this new sound. Lyricism is on a different level but still genius. Dear Anthony You said you liked the track 'Piledriver Waltz', why not review the Submarine OST Turner wrote for the film with the original 'Piledriver Waltz'. The entire thing sounds like a mix between The Last Shadow Puppets (and it almost is except for the fact Miles Kane is not in it) and Arctic Monkeys acoustic B-sides from the Favourite Worst Nightmare to Humbug era. It perfectly encapsulates the whole melancholic and poetic style of writing that Turner has become well known for and really if you don't mind the Arctic Monkeys more 'rock' take on the song you will surly like the more acoustic rainy English day with 60's keys vibe of the original.

This review depresses me. This has got to me one of my favorite albums ever and he just wails on it the whole time. Sure Brick by Brick isn't lyrically innovative, but all the other parts of the song more than make up for it. And Don't Down Cause I've Moved Your Chair sucks? Really? It has the great silent then loud intro, a very nice riff, fairly good lyrics and the guitar dubbing near the end is amazing. My favourites are Black Treacle and Piledriver Waltz, which hit me in ways I hadn't really felt in an arctic monkeys song before. Guys guys, let this man have an opinion. Personally I like the album but he is allowed to speak his mind, that is what the channel is, speaking his mind. And an you review a Two door cinema club album?

I love the way they are moving, the way they have changed over the past five years. Their beautiful and Alex Turner is a genius. Their debut is amazing, Suck it and see and FWN are tied to me, with Humbug in last place. Were all entitled to our own opinion, I spose - Was good to hear your opinion. Were you aware Alex Turner went into this album with the mindset 'were going to have a laugh'?

This album Is amazing it takes the heavyness of What ever people say i am thats what i'm not, the darkness of Favrouite Worst Nightmare and The Smoothness of Humbug and makes the perfect hybrid.

I love "Suck it and See" for the dream pop and shoe gaze influences. It was the first album of their's that I listened to, so I'll always have it in my heart for it, but even thought lyrics are more honest and beautiful than "AM", you can tell that the quality of not only the words, but the music is starting to drain.

Whatever people say I am- 5* Favorite Worst Nightmare- 5* Humbug- 3* Suck It and See- 4* different from their first stuff but like humbug it really grows on you.

i agree with a fair amount of what ur saying, it sounds very ordinary, the life seems to have been sucked out of this album, i preffered their first 2 ALbums, they had a lot more vibe but this is still ok, there are some nice songs in there to chill to

@theneedledrop like you i really didn't like the introductory singles to the record and wasn't looking forward to it but I saw them live and heard, "She's Thunderstorms", "The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala" and "Library Pictures" and was blown away. Such an amazing album. The only thing better of 2011 was The Horrors Skying.

@MoonchildMindaugas2 well, i didn't say it had longevity. i'm just saying it was at least more in line with what we'd expect from them than this album is.

If you like Piledriver Waltz, the version on the submarine soundtrack is so much better, particularly the vocals which are so much more relaxed.
