actually in original album version it's not a guitar solo, it's singing of a guest musician (some girl with beautiful voice), Moren just transcribed it for guitar

...Garm was in more than one album. Vortex didn't join the band until later but was still involved in the project because pretty much everyone in the BM scene know each other and or are friends. The band was formed by Knut. He writes pretty much all the music and so Arcturus COULD continue without any of the band members other than Knut if he really desired.

As long as I know, the band was formed by Sverd and Hellhammer in 1990, bearing Arcturus as their name. Knut didn't join the band 'till the end of the tour of Aspera Hiems Symfonia, in 1995 or 96 (till then, the guitarist was August Tidemann). And the main composer is also Sverd, so the last paragraph is correct, just changing Knut for Sverd xD
