This is a fabulous peated scotch! Lagavulin, Ardbeg and Laphroaig are all favourites!! Love the Ten!! Delicious peat!!

The difference in quality and flavours is definitely noticeable on this 10 over some of the cheaper 40%. Have to put Lagavulin on my list. ATB

welcome to the ARD10 club , i have a good tip for a cask strength ben nevis, 60% ish ( 46% is not cask strength in general, it can be under certain circumstances) which is ben nevis 8yo 2012 the golden cask exclusive cm277.

@@Highlandtaster ah, my recommendation is an online purchase from an indie company. if you going the ben nevis distillery they may have bottles you can only get from the distillery which are normally of a higher quality.

listening to my fave reviewer the glenlivet 12 may have a rival in the tamnavulin double cask which can be scooped up for 20£. check out lockys tamna review.

casks, oak from the ozark mountain range usa, firstly used for jack daniels, secondly used at glenmorangie and thirdly used for ardbeg. so its a refill bourbon cask which allows the spirit flavours to take centre stage as the wood is less active. i did leave a very long message last week about the ardbeg casks which the tube removed. best to make a gmail for whisky and put it on your channel info.

@@Highlandtaster glenmorangie own/lease the oak forest and give the wood to JD for free and then JD sends the cask over to glenmo (glenmo own ardbeg too). happy upcoming birthday.
