Correction: Sauternes is not fortified wine. Just very sweet wine made from noble rot grapes

You’re absolutely right. And I have to say, I’m a little disappointed: I tried bringing Horst into wine several years ago, and yet here we are .. 😉 But coming to his rescue, Sauternes wines are usually much higher in alcohol than German sweet wines from noble rot grapes like Beerenauslesen or Trockenbeerenauslesen. But they aren’t fortified at all.

I'm hoping they can do a follow up review with their thoughts after price is factored in. In my area these just landed but they're $168 USD all in. I'm not sure I want to pay that for a 13 year old Ardbeg but it seems that is what the going rate is for non standard releases with an age statement.

Almost $240 CND in my market. Too expensive in my opinion. The standard 10 and the Ugi are the best price to quality ratio to me.
