Opened my bottle of the committee edition yesterday and really enjoying this. It's so different with the oily and chocolate flavors. My go-to bottle is the Coryvreckren and my wife and I are often split with the committee releases (she likes the Ardcore, I like the Fermutation) but we both really enjoy this one! And I'll disagree with the others... I like what you're doing with the special comic book advertising. I'm not a huge comic book guy myself, but I really appreciate that you've hired some wonderful creatives who are doing some amazing work with the website, the comic book itself, the bottles, etc. Being a photographer, I appreciate good art and appreciate when people put money into such things. Well done all around!

Another extremely rough, immature, and overpriced NAS release. I'd be suprised if it spent more than 4 years in a cask

Really hate the whole comic book thing, it doesn’t fit the aesthetic of any whiskey and especially not an Islay Scotch. The green bottle and design of the core range is what meshes best with Ardbeg. The dark green mysterious folklorish aspect works great.

I used to love Ardbeg but please stop the gimmicky whisky and get back to basics before your completely out of ideas

All these "experiments" are about getting intensely smoky flavours without a an aged whisky. It's absolutely pointless because in the end the price is absurd for a pretty average that's not reallt greater than the core range Ardbegs. They probably could deliver a 14+ whisky keeping a lot of the peat at a reasonable price. Paying +200€ for this is no sense. It's probably a better idea to get wee beastie for less than 1/4 of heavy vapours price.

100% agree with you. I was at the Ardbeg Day celebrated in Madrid, Spain, three days ago and I tasted this special release: Heavy Vapours. I was SO dissapointed by the lack of character and the absence of the distillery seal: the punch of peat delivered right to the face each time you taste an Ardbeg. I was so enraged that I didn´t buy a bottle. Instead, I bought an Ardbeg Uigeadail, my absoulte fave.

You two should be put in jail, charged with the attempt of steaingl from me. I was at the Ardbeg Day three days ago and this special release was a total dissapointment. 46% abv, no peat punch deilvered right to the face and at a price of 140 euros... Really... But I was smarter than that and bought an Uigeadail instead. No special release bottle for my collection this year. This is the only way I can punish you. Totally dissapointed.
