Closet Decluttering 2023 Edition :)

That's right y'all, we're decluttering my closet EVEN FURTHER. I've got some new bedroom furniture coming in next week and it would be so nice to get some of these clothes out of here 😳 Let me know if you want a lil vlog of us redoing the space once the new set is here!

Idk why but it’s like i love clothes and get to live vicariously through someone with taste and money to have them. Thank you Arden for your nonchalant body positivity throughout this video. I'm in my second year of college and have seen my body change significantly in the past 6 months---honestly, it feels like a second puberty. It can be easy sometimes to feel like gaining curves is negative. Recently, I've felt a bit defeated because, despite living an active, outdoorsy, vegan lifestyle my jeans are a squeeze. I'm no longer the wispy 17-year-old I've known myself to be. My body is different, but after watching your video, I feel less fixated on regressing back to my high school figure. You look amazing and your humor while trying on the last outfit made my day.

Get the Vivetta dress chopped into a top! Then you preserve the cute collar, but don’t have to worry about the skirt length. I remember being obsessed with those Vivetta collars in my tumblr era and this has awakened something deep inside me lol

The print is lovely though but let it go Forloveandlemons dress: IDC what anyone else says so cute I love there stuff so probably biased but that's a definite keep imo 70s Jorts: What lengths are you willing to go to for these 70s reading rainbow presenter esque culottes? I would not elasticate them the button fly adds to them best bet would be to add some panelling in the back could do something fun like some rainbow colours that match in a v shape

I'd say keep everything that makes you genuinely excited and get rid of the rest. If you have other clothes that you reach for more, I don't think the ones that you're uncertain about will win over those :3 If you're really unsure, put away the ones you're questioning out of sight for 3-6 months and if you don't pull them out in that time get rid of it! Always here for the decluttering videos ☺️

Dear Arden. I've Known about you through my daughter who wisely imagined I would absolutely love your channel. The reason Is quite simple. Identification!!!! I also am a queen of clutter. My stuff is curated, but it takes so much space it becomes a real problem for the whole family. Spoiler alert, I'm 54 years old. 😁 I love that you deal with yourself with humor. At least I don't feel any guilt in you and I love it. Everywhere I look I see the same concept, "useless", "declutter", "be a minimalist"...and so on. That usually makes me sad. I try learning about both sides of the spectrum and see where exactly I stand. For a fact, I man a maximalist. However, I recognize the need to change a few things. Better late than ever. What I find refreshing is that thanks to you I am now sure that there is at least another human being with the same struggles as me. Thank you so much. You are a ray of sunshine. 🌞

i've had a black mini dress with stars and moons on it and still keep it for halloween/just in case but have not worn it in YEARS. let me know what you decide on that lil romp maybe i'll do the same. i would keep the shirt dress, maybe tuck the fancy hand collar one away in a suitcase/special box for future baby rose, and lose the hippie and vacation dresses 🫢

I definitely think those jorts can be an easy fix to add elastic, I have some 70s jeans quite similar that I’ve taken out the same in the waist. What you’ll need is to seam rip out the waist band and to work from there. Also you can see in the waist band there is an inch or two hanging past the button so a short fix is just to move the button over

You wouldn't be able to elasticate the shorts because you can only really do that when something is too big to make them smaller, however. you could probably take then to a tailor and quite easily have a panel put in the back/sides to make the waist band bigger and then if you still wanted to you could have that elasticated and it shouldn't take away from the cut very much. If you really love them, which it seems like you do, then it's worth spending a little extra money to have them tailored to you. :)

keep both white dresses get rid of the florida and ibiza ones. FLL could be dyed black or something if you tire of the print-- the fit is great.
