Im building a new bird nesting box as my old one is showing its age, I get Bluetits nesting there every year and would like to have wireless video output, I have ordered an Orange Pi 2 Zero and was intending to plug an old webcam into it but seeing this I am thinking this might be ok, would it be suitable?

How is sending a command to turn the camera on or off "custom code" (I think you meant "custom commands")?! Not bad for an IOT. I knew it was in the works, just didn't know when it would come out. There's another one with No Lens that can do autofocus with a large range, but that's a long way off, still in research phase.

hi nice camera - what microcontroller you suggest with that camera for video streaming - there is arduino, esp32, and raspberry pi (pico, etc.) - what do you suggest? also do you suggest another camera for video streaming?

To be honest, according to their website, this costs approximately $50 CAD which is insane? Is there some other seller for less price by any chance?

I'm somehow missing how this would be better than the ESP32CAM? You even get an sdcard reader on the $6 ESP32CAM, so with the quality displayed by this Arducam not really looking better to me than your typical ESP32CAM and the price likely being way higher, I don't see why you would opt for it.

I was very disappointed with the Quality and Workmanship of the Arducam for Rasp Pi 4.

The ArduCam is a Photo Camera. I think They've Reverse Engineered the GoPro Hero 11. They Can't Do in Hardware, So in Software it is a Slower Photo Camera. If We Do in Hardware, then it will get to a GoPro Hero 11, Video Camera. This is How they're Getting Discounts from Nokia/Nintendo Phone Camera Division. They're Using Hardware Acceleration.
