Being able to play Atari games like they were meant to be played in the 70s and 80s is really hard today with expensive hardware and risky plugs. Luckily we can use an Arduino to help us plug a classic controller into our PC.

Yeah people have let me know a few times. I still find that they are quite ugly (with the big metal sides) so overall im glad I went the route of making my own.

I ordered this print as it would have been perfect for the project I was doing but your STL files are off. the insert used for the 9pin connector is too big to fit into the top and bottom shells. I downloaded the STL files off the hackster.io site

Now you need the PRO MICRO not the MICRO because even though they use the same Microcontroller the MICRO is bigger than the PRO MICRO

Good lord, what an incredible amount of work when you can buy an Atari joystick clone with usb for like $8

Sometimes the journey and knowledge you gain from building something yourself is worth more than just picking it up for $8. Plus there’s something cool about playing on an actual original controller. Thanks for watching!
