Nice overview. Just have to say your pegboard background looks artistic.

Is it possible to use flexible circuitry in the synthetic skin used for prosthetic limbs? Embedded with sensors that can detect heat or cold and maybe even touch.

Flex circuits?! Sure. Synthetic skin? I don't know, but seems plausible.

Hello Mr. Marc, Do you think its a good idea to try to make custom FFC or FPC cables for connectors using flexible PCB?
@MarcdeVinck3 жыл бұрын
You can, and I do. (Just made one last month) Just keep in mind it's not particularly easy, and you need a good manufacturer for long term continuity.

Hi Marc, I'm Hector I want to design my first flexible board but come up a question to me and it's what's the best way to make a perfect smd soldering in a flexible board? I specifically mean to esp32 soldering or QGN packages chips. Do you have any idea about that?
@MarcdeVinck3 жыл бұрын
I have actually done that recently. My biggest piece of advice is to contact and work with a good PCB manufacturer. It’s more than likely going to take a few tries to get it right. Basic flex is easy, but there are a lot of nuances based on how flexible it needs to be, etc. Your board house will have design specifications for simple flex PBBs.

@@MarcdeVinck Thanks for your swift reply. And is there any technique for smd soldering when you want assembly a very small smd component like esp32 chip? Because I'm working on it and I would like to get more information!

@@h3ctor1991 Funny you should ask! I do! I created an entire course on soldering for LinkedIn Learning. If you have a Pro account, or are a college student (most universities provide it to their students) it's entirely free! www.linkedin.com/learning-login/share?forceAccount=false&redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Flearning%2Flearning-soldering-for-electronics%3Ftrk%3Dshare_ent_url%26shareId%3DeSIqTFnGT7uFoTrmVQ5jCg%253D%253D

@Marc de Vinck Great! Well, I consider that I have a good SMD assembly technique, but I want to know about if I should to get an specific considerations for flexible board soldering. But thank you so much for share me this course, I will watch it.
