Frozen ground in no match for a stiff pecker.
The Magic Harp (Die Zauberharfe), D.644, is the incidental music composed for the play of the same name by F. Schubert. Written in 1819, premiered in 1820 in Vienna, and first published in 1891, the overture to this work has been long asociated with the Rosamunde incidental music, probably because they were first published together. When I was working for an open pit granite mining operation back in the '90s I built a tool fairly similar to this for a backhoe-mounted hydraulic hammer used to bust boulders in the pit. We couldn't get the operators to quit raking the rocks with those expensive manganese hammer bits. I came up with a large metal spike welded to a bolt-on plate that fit on the front side of the hammer assembly perpendicular to the bit. If the operator needed to rake rocks around to set himself up he just curled the hammer in and used the spike. If he snapped it we just welded it back on. They were still using it when I left.

As you know, those hammer bits aren't designed for side load. Doesn't stop operators I see bury them into concrete/rock and then use them as a pry bar. I never seen one snap, but I have seen them at auction broke flush to the hammer. I wonder how many people know they're not supposed to and still do and how many are just oblivious.

“The Lonesome Cowboy” by Dalton Wilcox A cowboy is a lonesome man There's none more lonesome in the land, He rides atop his only friend His horse, a companion on whom he can depend. His woman may be miles behind him Sadness and desperation may find him, But a cowboy who's wise will turn to the earth To lend him solace and even mirth. The earth from which all beauty springs Such bounty, forth she always brings He'll dig a hole with cracked, scorched hands Pour in all the water that hole demands. Until that earth is moist, just right The earth'll never put up any kind of a fight. His cries of joy no one will hear In case I am not being clear, I'm saying that cowboy is going to f*** a hole in the ground. We all do it, that's what I have found. Any cowboy that knows that lonesome hell Can fashion a land virginy well, If a cowboy's seed worked like other seeds There'd be cowboys growing across the plains like weeds.

That's not something you should really do. You'd grind them (mostly) off, and then mill flat in most cases. its poetic, it really brings forth this idea of working on different scales. you got machining on one hand, dealing in tolerances in the fraction of a c hair, and in your other hand you have your stiff dirty pecker..

Amateur mistake, ripping her up on the way out like that. There's always another hole to run to, but sometimes you find yourself in one you wallowed out yourself, and that's just extra work and less fun.
