New must have tool for the tool box is an Induction Bolt Heater. I paid about $200.00 for one from one of those cheap Chinese tool companies. It's great for tight spaces and only heats metal, not the plastic stuff near by....And no flames. I replaced an old Ford water pump without snapping any bolts, so it's earned it's spot in the shop.

Just remember kids. if it was deleted. it wouldn't have a problem.

A new 25kVA genset costs how much in the US? $120k is a flipping ripoff. People buy these? I bought a brand new 900kVA genset in a sound proof container with a Chinese clone V12 twin turbo cat prime mover for a little under $60k 10 years ago. Runs faultlessly. Deep sea controllers are pretty good. They're cheap to replace if you have to. Haven't had to. Not common rail, so that helps. You poor bastidges over there are feeding middle men too much. Italian equipment is pretty poorly designed and built. Reliability isn't there...nice paint job until the lack of adequate surface prep starts to blister from rust. Customer service from an Italian company? Forget it mate. At least your engine is korean. Korean industrial engines are pretty reliable. I ply my craft in Cambodia.
