Since this video, I stamped and embossed almost all my TE sentiment stamps. I have 1 I missed. I did black on white, white on black and a sparkle silver on black. That was a lot of embossing for one day! Probably why I haven’t gotten to the one I forgot still! lol I have some dies cut out for word dies and have even assembled some. But I have a lot of them and I don’t think I’ll ever get them all done. I love dies!!!

Sometimes I look at your videos again, because many times i miss things, as you have SO many great ideas, and YEP, missed the extra diecuts, when you diecut a sentiment, to diecut a couple others too on the same page ! Brilliant idea ! Never thought of that, I always try to diecut more of the same, for my "collection" like you do, but this is not effortless, but using different once on the page is effortless..... THX SO MUCH FOR THAT BRILLIANT MIND OF YOURS, such simple ideas i could perhaps come up myself........but can't LOL, thx !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The white embossing on white makes the most sense for me. I see a lot of white on black pre-cut sub-sentiments, but when I see them on cards that have nothing else in black, it detracts from the rest of the card. I do have a few pre-cut sentiments, but generally I find it's faster to just cut exactly what I need than to search through them (no matter how well organized). I do put extras of other die-cut shapes in the envelopes with the dies (and I'm cutting more in white and inking them rather than using colored cardstock, so when I have extras, they're more versatile). I liked the cards you showed today, too.
@ardyth2 жыл бұрын
It's definitely about balance. I think I'll probably stick to my very favourites that I use the most. No point having extras on hands that I'll never use. Thanks so much for watching!

I love the circle little sentiment idea. I’ve been making extra for some time. I’ve found making pockets with Birthday sentiments, Happy birthday, Hello, Christmas, Encouragement, etc. is a great way to go. I have my card, sometimes finished with no sentiment so I can add it as I need it. I even stack my dies and have some ready, I can always add a metallic on top, or ink blend as you did. It makes those a bit sturdy so the whole paper sentiments don’t damage the fiddly dies.

I was doing just that while making Mother's Day cards! I keep most of my sentiment dies together and usually cut extras while working on a project. I keep SCRAPS of colored cardstock in see through pockets separated by color. I don't own a lot of colored cardstock but the scraps are easier to use if I see them! I have them separated by purple/magenta, red/orange, yellow, green, blue/teal, brown, black, white, and specialty paper (vellum, mirror, holographic, etc.). Even for embossing simple sentiments or die cutting a small shape for an embellishment, I go to these pockets first! Now if I can organize my stamps like this....

Haha! There's always something more to organize.... Thanks for dropping by, Kris!
