simply as a brit, it cant be said. humour is of course subjective but its only fair to say that Brits are far better at sarcastic/awkward/banter humour where as Americans are better with chaotic/insane/wild humour.

As an American, completely agree. British humor, in my opinion, is more subtle while American humor is very in your face. I think both can be funny or unfunny depending on the execution, but the difference is interesting

The giga brain Strat on the balloon task was to just move the rope forwards instantly. You only need to stay behind it, nothing about the rope staying still

Hold the string of the portcullis, bring the rope to the balloon, let go of the string so the portcullis falls down, then if that doesn't work grab the portcullis and manually pop the balloon.

12:51 Why not pick up the pedestals and rope, then run towards the balloon? It would drop the portcullis on the balloon the same way the scissors would, it doesn't add time to the task like the tools do, and the task doesn't say you can't. You just need to stand behind the rope.

For the third task, could you theoretically move the velvet rope up closer to the balloon and the use the slack in the rope to pop the balloon by tugging on it and making it hit the concrete? Or did I miss a rule saying that you can't.

The task says you couldn't move the velvet rope, and you we're allowed to touch the regular rope with anything other than the scissors. These are professional task makers, not Stanz, no loopholes!
