With regards to the AT guns, in my first formation, a 1942 DAK Light Afrika DIvision, I included a 5cm Pak 38 with a Heavy Field Car as a tow option, as well as troop transport once the gun is in place. That said what counts as an AT gun? For example my 1942 DAK Light Afrika Division includes both a SdKfz 231 (8-Rad) heavy armoured car, and a PzKpfw III J. Now obviously the PzKpfw III Js main gun is listed as a medium anti tank gun, but does the autocannon on the 231 count? It may not be a classic AT gun but it was used in that capacity against light armour, such as other armoured cars (glares at my 8th army Humber IV). As I say this I look sadly over at my light Waffen SS recon force, 1st Platoon (German reinforced platoon) SS-Obersturmführer Christian Bachmann + SS-Scharführer Klaus Ritter bothw/assault rifles SS-Unterscharführer Jurgen Roth w/assault rifle + 4 SS-Schütze w/rifles + 1 SS-Schütze w/LMG SS-Unterscharführer Konrad Keller w/assault rifle + 4 SS-Schütze w/rifles + 1 SS-Schütze w/LMG SS-Rottenführer Bruno Müller + 1 SS-Schütze w/flamethrower (team weapon) SdKfz 250/1 SdKfz 251/1 2nd Platoon (German tank platoon) SdKfz 251/9 Stummel SdKfz 250/9 SdKfz 250/9 SS-Unterscharführer Anton Meier w/assault rifle + 4 SS-Schütze w/rifles + 1 SS-Schütze w/rifle and panzerfaust + 1 SS-Schütze w/LMG All infantry are veteran, and all vehicles ae regular. Total 10 order dice and 1000pts. Orignally created for a "Prelude to Normandy" mini campaign, but came back for our "Market Garden" campaign, where it dislogded the defenders on the North end of Arnhem bridge before racing off to Nijmegen bridge where it helped delay British XXX corps and the US 82nd airbourne from taking Nijmegen bridge. In our campaign British 1st Airbourne and the Polish Parachute brigade were wiped out to a man, and it took another week for the allies to secure Nijmegen bridge. While never intend to go against actual armour my Waffen SS light recon force can still hold its own against limited armour support forces, example being the odd Sherman. Now I have fears of burning halftracks and a single enemy light tank reigning supreme.

I could see losing Close Combat will either have a morale check or rout, or an over run mechanic where each squads roll 2d6

Games Workshop are objectively the leaders of the wargame industry. A lot of this consolidation is likely because of 10th and 4th doing the same. It's pretty great! Only if they would make codecies free lol.

Thanks for the update! AT guns on the tabletop? I like the change to make them effective. V3 has a lot of changes that appear to add more strategy thoughts to game prep and army deployment.

I don't play but prep bombardment sounds like something you should buy with points to use. So if you don't and the other guy does too bad for you.

11:00 THIS IS GOOODDDD!!! No I dont think so! At Guns are fixed. Now they are good. And you can smoke em out with HE or other Stuff. 15:00 The Optional Rules could playout like Secondaries in 40k. Could shake it up a bit! 16:00 Play a Bolt Action 2.5.... a Game with the new Rules. Its soooo cool! You will loose your mind! Its amazing!

Anti Tank guns are not so op. Basic to hit is 4+ now not 3+ and its only on fire orders and ambush. Not when you are advancing. And we will se how cover works on Vehicles, but it seems u can have a save now. gets more 40k stile sadly.
