Like I have the beats solo pros and they are good hurt my head a little cause of the clamping force but compared to the old beats it’s definitely better than their past. I know for sure though it’s still not close as to overall what’s the best for your money. But I think he was comparing it to the past beats, not necessarily it’s competition, cause out of those two you mentioned it’s definitely in third place.

The Beats don't suck as much as they used to, due to improved balance. They clearly dialed down the once overbearing bass to win over customers who aren't total bassheads. Still, they are way too expensive considering the still relatively unsophisticated sound profile and the cheap feel. Many competitors offer better sound at the same price, or even at a lower price point. There's really only greed behind Beats, still.

Great review! I just got a pair a month ago for $280 and love them. I tested the Sony pair you mentioned and the Bose QC-35, but chose these because of the cheaper price and seamless compatibility with Apple products. The separation of noise in most of the genres I listen to has been a pleasant surprise to me about these.

Beats use to suck. But I have the same exact pair that you are reviewing and they do sound fly as hell. I have over 14 pairs of Beats no bullshit from the Executive, Beats pro Lil Wayne edition to the Studio 2’s and even the Bose QC35 2 headphones. These headphones sound amazing! I own the Beats Studio 3 and the Crusher 360 and they are both good for what they offer. Beats are louder, more comfortable to wear, they look better, and work just as good as Airpods as far as connection and easy to use. Crusher 360 have way more bass and give you that car stereo with a subwoofer sound. Crusher 360 are also cheaper so choice is going to come down to preference. Cool video

Very nice review! I used to enjoy my sony xb950 until my friend gifts me a pair of solo2 wireless. I was not a fan of Beats, but I have to give it a try, so I've been wearing the solo2 to the gym a lot. Since then I have changed my view of beats, just like you said, they're pretty well balanced. The mids and high is just doesn't sound great anymore on the XB950. Now I got my studio 3, and I love it!

I've owned beats before, they aren't bad. The thing is at their price point most reviewers are putting them against Sennheiser and AKG and Audio Technica and against their similar price point options the Beats have poor bass definition (they overwhelm with loudness rather than speed or pace in my experience) and limited range. That being said if you listen to a lot of hip hop and rap then they are a not a bad choice at all. What you need to remember though is that for a $300 Sennheiser headphone you are probably getting a $150 product with $50 going on marketing, $50 on staff costs and $50 on profit for the manufacturer and with beats you are probably getting a $50 product with $150 going on marketing, $50 on staff costs and $50 on manufacturer profit.

I think the beats studios are a solid pair at just below $200. I picked mine up for $179 and think that’s a high-reasonable price, but given the opportunity I would absolutely tweak the mids and highs on these things. At the $350 mark these are a ripoff, but at below $200, I would say these are as good or better than comparable senheisers or sonys. Other brands are better at a higher price, but there are specific beats colors you can get for Less than 200, which is definitely a decent pickup.

If you had $350, instead of getting Beats, Bose, or Edifier, why not just get some Sennheisers or Audio Technicas and then pair them with a portable Headphone amplifier like the Fiio A1? If Noise Cancelling is what you're looking for, then why not the Audio Technica ANC7B with the wire and mic so you can still get the Fiio A1 along with it? That's the problem with Beats headphones. Yeah, they sound good. Finally. They have good noise cancelling. But are they $350 good? Not at all. So why pay $350 when you can get the same if not better quality for $120? For $350, I would expect them to just utterly destroy a $120 headphone. But then how come a $120 headphone does better than a $350 one?

Mom and I just did a test between the Studio 3’s ( refurbished) and the Solo 3’s. We immediately found out that the Studios were horrible in the bass segment and overall sound quality. The Solo’s were AMAZING! I love them! Maybe it was the fact that the Studios were refurbished, but that was horrible. My mom is now going to return those Studios and is gonna buy a pair of Solo 3’s.

Pro: - I love the sound - I love the paddings Con: - The protective case is large but the padding still gets squished - The right inner panel is the weak link. It eventually breaks. I thought that mine was bad, but after checking eBay, they are almost sold out.

My friend bought one of these last month and tell you what,, although beat is often stated as "Basshead Headphone", I'm quite surprised that the bass on that Headphone felt a little bit puny when compared to my BLUEDIO UFO II. (Also noticing that UFO cost 1/3 the Price!) I understand that they have those next gen ANC tech, but hey tell you what Antwan, My kind of ANC is just like what you stated "If you want to cancel the outside noise, *JUST ADD MORE VOLUME!"* 😂😂😂😂 Sooo yeah, my BLUEDIO is fime for me 💥

I bought a pair of wire studio 3s for 150 because they were a beige-ish rose gold color and they were definitely worth what I paid for but I wouldn’t be able to spend $300 on headphones

Studio 3s are like $200 now online all the time $250 on Walmart.com I’m no expert I’ve tried a lot of wireless headphones and the studio 3s are my favorite and nothing compares cosmetically

I really like it I got the wireless which I bought like eight years ago and they are worn out with still good sound only the plastic breaks real fast and now mine is cracking! Pff don't wanna say goodbye to my old friend but maby I should buy a new one! Definitely this one cuz this is also chargeable instead of those accu's inside! Great vid

I bought a pair of beats studio 3’s during the Covid pandemic and i mostly bought them because they were expensive and sold at the apple store so i figured they were gonna be insane… fast forward 2 years and my opinion on these have changed dramatically. The in-line cord broke early on and they have no controls on the headphones so that sucked and they aren’t very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Also the sound is DEFINITELY not worth the asking price. At the time when i bought them i didn’t know much about over the ear headphones and now i totally regret buying them. Oh and now the right ear cup pad is slowly deteriorating so i need to take a risk and buy some replacement ear pads off Amazon which is always a hit and a miss and a major pain in the ass! I used to own a pair of Skullcandy Crushers and they were like $150 cheaper and believe it or not i remember enjoying the Crushers a lot more than i do the Studio 3’s . I definitely do not recommend buying them and this is coming from someone who owns an iPhone and iPad so the seemless pairing is alright but overall these should be $150 and no more. Also the noice canceling is 5/10 on the studio 3’s. Ahhhhh i regret buying these stupid headphones. If i had my time back i would have 100% bought the Sony MX4 or Bose 35ii’s.

Audiophiles are really the only group of consumers who deeply care and rate things on performance, and not branding. I've seen so many vids hyping up the OneOdios, SuperLux, or AliBaba junkers and sing their praises. When was the last time you heard a sneakerhead say "yeah, these Jordans are $200 but 90% of that is marketing and style, it's actually the same China made sneaker as these $30." And I know what you're saying "China makes shit." But they don't. The reason you dont see great $30 sneakers is because the market looks at them like KMart Starburies. It's sad. We let marketing control us. But audiophiles demand more. *and i know there are audiophiles who spend tens of thousands, if not more, on this stuff. That same audiophile will look at the $50 Audio Technica M20s and say these are good.

Beats are really good for bass lovers. My issue that I have had with 2 pairs of studio 2s is the plastic around the headphones will eventually break and since you only have one year of warranty, which can only be renewed unless you pay for a new set, then you have to fork up 200 under warranty or 400 out of warranty.

I have the same headphones and I liked them. I've had them for almost 2 years and they are going strong. But to get the best of them an apple device is somewhat required. They don't suck. They suck if you compare them to the Bose quite comfort 2 or 3. As well as the Sennheiser PCX 550. Then the beats suck compared to those headphones. But they are great sounds headphones.

The sound quality on the Studio 3’s is totally whack my daughter was a given a set for Xmas. Like me she loves her deep bass which was totally lacking on the Beats so I bought her a set of red Sony XB950B1’s and now she is super happy. The Beats cost £250 I picked up the Sony’s on eBay, open box for £37.50 ... go figure!
