Great video Oleg, also the sardaukar chant (Bond edition) is spectacular 0:04

Oddly enough I’m putting together a review of the Bremont S2000. I also have an S500 .. personally .. I reckon they’re awesome. I don’t have an S300, but I will get one eventually.

Great watch. Maybe Bremonts watch with the broadest appeal. Something to actually attract new customers not just their loyal fanbase. I bought a used one and saved over 40% compared to new. At that price it's highly recommended

This one is interesting. I think it’s a mistake to have the AR coding on the outside… I’ve had several that do this and it kind of defeats the purpose of having a sapphire crystal to begin with in my opinion… I think I’m most pissed off about my omega Seamaster professional… I’ve done everything I can to keep it pristine while still wearing it… And there are two scratches on the exterior AR coating…However, I like everything else about this watch for the most part! Thanks for the great review!

Hi Oleg, as it turns out my brother in law owns that model Bremont so I have been hands on with it too. I’m from the UK so I kind of have to like it, but fortunately I genuinely do. I think it’s a great alternative to the BB58 which I am also very fond of. However this gets a much more interesting case which I really like but having said that, it’s a little more understated in the dial and hands dept. so will not appeal to everyone. The price tag always concerned me but these are genuinely high end pieces so I think they warrant it. I still think it’s quite a leap of faith to buy one over a more recognisable brand but perhaps that’s the price of being different, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I definitely like what they are doing as a brand, it's certainly a smart looking piece. Strangely in affect though they are copying/homage to the submariner it was Blancpain who were the first to release a dive watch with a turning bezel, Rolex copied the design the following year, so the Rolex submariner is a homage too.

It does price in a very tough price bracket. Tudor, Tag Heuer and Omega are very irresistible. There are traces of scratches between positions 12 and 1, 8 and 9 for the bezel.

The bezel seems to have swirls and scratches in various places. I guess it might be bacuse the bezel has a not glossy surface and I hope it is something you can remove just by cleaning with a microfiber cloth or something. Am I the only one who saw those scratches?

To me it’s unbelievable the price Bremont is charging. Bremont pricing is silly should be in the same class as Christopher Ward @ $1000 to $1500

Agreed. 2k tops

They position their watches 10%-15% above Tudor and Longines which is silly. But it'd make no sense either to position Bremont at the same price level as Christopher Ward. If Bremont was at price parity with Tudor and Longines that'd give me more confidence to buy one of their watches. I find the Supermarine a very nice-looking watch. The Longines Zulu Time and Tudor Black Bay are nice too, but my favourite is the Supermarine.

Interesting how Bremont managed to create a matte black ceramic bezel but Tudor still use steel bezel. Great video!
@nickbyrne19623 жыл бұрын
That Bremont is a VERY good looking watch; my only issue is that I already have a Black Bay 58 and so would not be in a hurry to add such a similar watch to my collection. That said, it is a very attractive proposition and I am more than tempted……

A bremont no date version should be made....no point sacrificing the lume for date window. (why seiko still does it is beyond me)

It’s a beautiful classy piece. Exclusive. It’s more of an Aston Martin, rather than the more ubiquitous Tudor. The new chronograph looks sensational. Also, the firm has some impressive investment and development plans. Sadly, out of my budget.

Nice watch, not sure the price reflects its value For how much you are paying, and also because it's a dive watch, I would expect good lume (not just "ok" lume). And how about drilled lugs? It bugs me when a promising brand can't get the obvious things right
@vanvans66802 жыл бұрын
Bremont are unique in their designs, not to everyone's taste but there is something to them nevertheless. Pricey yes, but well built, they make good sense as used buy. The comparison with the Tudor bb 58 I am not sure about, the Tudor is dressier in my view, more polished areas to it, raised indices as oppose to the flat Bremont ones. Credit to Bremont for what they have done within just 20 years going against the big Swiss guys. I was between the Tudor bb 58 and the Bremont Supermarine, i went for the Bremont at the end, there is too much hype around the Tudor bb 58 at the moment, too many around, whereas the Bremont offers something more unique and niche.

I am also hesitating which one to buy, the Tudor BB58 or the Bremont Supermarine limited edition.
@franky3fingers3373 жыл бұрын
People are just too hard on this brand and I don’t get it. The MSRP is a bit high but discounts can be easily had and the going price seems to be $2.5k or less. I see these as a direct competitor to Sinn and some Tudors (not 58). ETA movement are fine at this level they should just call it what it is but many other brands do the same thing.

Exterior A/R coating is a mistake, along with the poor lume which in my opinion is overpriced, however it's is a good looking watch that appears well finished

I'm a Brit, so really want to like them. Like their tech and innovation, but their style is too generic,at that price point I purchased an Omega instead. Hopefully they'll produce something that appeals to me one day. Certainly would chose this over the Bland Bay's tho I'd not put them in the same tier, I'd say Tudor are more Aquis level and this is trying to compete with Omega, Breitling etc. Leather strap would stop me buying any watch, just awful especially on a diver. Good review, Cheers 👍👍

Controversy over their in house movement, that turned out to be a mildly modded off the shelf one.

Modified ETA, but most companies do that bet rolex do that with the amount of watches they make in a year.

I wonder if Bond would benefit from stenotic nares surgery. He seems like he really struggles to breathe.

I had good results with my Boston terrier on one side nostril, he breathes well and minimal snoring. He looks a lot like Bond, He’s a good buddy-boy! On a side note, my brother has a Bremont Spitfire GMT 40mm watch and I quite like it.

This is not the first time I've seen bremont reviewed with a ceramic bezel covered in scratches. I think they should look at a different material for their bezel inserts 🤔

The pricing is such a put off. No in-house movement, no heritage, a forger attempt at an identity. Pricing should be Oris level if anything.
@7rslender3 жыл бұрын
Biggest negative for me is that they call this cal. in house while it is clearly NOT. Bremont, Just call it what it is: A modified ETA. Nothing wrong with that! ETA's are the workhorse of the watch industry like the Rolls-Royce Merlin was for the most important Planes of the RAF in WWII. The Supermarine Spitfire used it, the Hawker Hurricane used it and the Avro Lancaster had 4 of them. Nothing wrong with that. Bremont makes great looking watches. But In that price bracket there are a lot of other brands to consider.

Another great video. I've always wanted a British watch to add to my small collection. The watch is brilliant and I respect the company's design philosophy. However, at $3,795 I would consider something else. I paid about half the price for my black dial Oris Aquis (with discount from AD) and I think it is a better watch. It would be interesting to see the company offer something similar sub $2,500.

Overpriced boutique brand. Baltany look better, are more honest and cost 4% of the price. Christ knows why the MoD have got involved with Bremont, sounds like misuse of his Majesty's resouces to me.
