Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for keeping this going. although it doesn't get anywhere near as many views as the regular business class reviews, i really appreciate these deep dives into the commercial aviation's workings, as opposed to the typical surface-level content you usually find online.

Completely. Why do people go to Southern climes in the summer - unless they’re going all the way south. Just in the last year, tho, I’ve noticed far more people seeking chilly climes in the summer - Iceland, the Faroes, Norway.

I look forward to your Saudia review, Dan. I had the opportunity to do business class to Bangkok on Saudia from the US. I passed for various reasons (such as the 20 hour layover in Riyadh), but my upcoming trip will be interesting from an AVGeek perspective. Going to Singapore on the A350-ULR and coming back on EVA from Bangkok where I get to try both of their business class products. I'm hoping to avoid the Boeing 737Maxs on my SIN-KUL and KUL-BKK legs.

Rather than business class only airlines they should just return to the days of the early 2000s where low cost airlines still offered economy seats with cushions and enough leg room to not feel claustrophobic. More airlines like southwest should re-enter the market, this is why consolidation is so bad in my opinion. Prior to the AirTran-southwest merger era there were many regular low cost airlines all competing and offering a level of service that could compete with each other and mainline airlines, but as they all implemented more fees and saw avenues to trick consumers into paying more with fees it incentivized them to transition to an ULCC system. Frontier and sun country both used to be in the same category as JetBlue, AirTran, southwest, and the many other low cost airlines that died off but now they have all shifted to a more ULCC based system (even mainline airlines are doing this BS) Not only did these airlines offer a WAY more comfortable experience but they were forced to actually try, JetBlue was the first airline to offer Free live TV for everyone, AirTran had XM radio making JetBlue also get XM lol, they offered snacks and drinks like the mainline carriers still, and also had a buy onboard program, it wasn’t so complicated to buy a ticket. We need more airlines who advertise the total cost up front like southwest does BUT they need to not be scared to list their prices in the open next to their completion unlike southwest. If there was an airline that offered free bag(s), free seat selection (so you dont have to stress about getting into the virtual queue on SWA exactly 24hours before your flight), a snack and a drink, and a seat with more than 37 inches of pitch and an actual good cushion they would DOMINATE virtually anywhere. If they had a well located hub and spoke model they would be able to take on most big airlines easily just with the hard product early 2000s JetBlue proved it by still existing 😂 I think an airline should use Halifax to copy the Iceland air/ play model and shuttle people between Europe and North America with a good hard product i think it would be hard not to thrive. It already has US pre clearance so youd be able to go through customs once and could fly to any US/ Canadian airport since it’s domestic. And best of all Halifax is a popular semi large city virtually isolated thanks to Westjet/ Air Canada refusing to really utilize its potential. It pretty much only flies to Toronto, imagine going to Europe or even Boston what a pain in the ass!

What do yall think about the collision in Sapporo? A Korean Air A330 collided with a Cathay Pacific 777 while pushbacking

Today I can assure you no matter how much I dislike some aspects of México City, that it is much safer than San Francisco or most major US cities

No Jetblue/Spirit merger? Next week then.
@Coolsomeone2349 ай бұрын
Question: thoughts on the merger? All the industry analysts are reluctant to support it bc of B6s poor management. But spirit and Jetblue will both go bankrupt blah blah blah
