Competition is very high with folks with years of experience applying for entry level roles. That is why it's the toughest time to get a job as a fresher

@@inthecloud1043 I am currently aming/working towards LFCS(Linux Foundation) and MAYBE(still considering) shortly after that RHCSA(Red Hat). Both certs can be trained for and taken with CentOS(free Red Hat) and as BOTH certs are actually Hands-On and NOT multiple Choice, I do believe that both are great, I just think it would be "safer" to have both, as different countries value different certs.. Red Hat is the go-to for corporate, but I will go with the Linux Foundation for the Kubernetes certs anyway, so why not LFCS first. Before anyone asks, I have a yearly subscription with KodeKloud(used black friday discount). I am not affiliated, but SO FAR, the courses/videos/labs seem very good.

Apart from CKA, no certificate has any respect. Certificates are a great tool for you to learn in depth of the technology but if you are thinking to get a job because of them, then it's not happening. Do them for your own learning

Skills are obviously more important as discussed in the video. While you prepare for cloud certs you start learning skills. This way you now have both skills and certs. Getting certification in right way will help you learn skills in consistent manner.
