Hey Mark! If you're going to get some, get the ones I have (£90 odd). I believe the link is in the description. These ones are going back!! One day of rain and they weren't happy! She did say the few days they worked.. the traffic parted like the Red Sea haha! Update will be uploaded in the next few days! Cheers and Happy Christmas to you too!

@@SamVBikes ah, OK, cheers for the update Sam. Yours are no longer available on Amazon but they're still on Ebay just in case you get anyone else asking. Shame, those £40 ones looked the part...but worth paying the extra for something that'll actually work ha ha...atb mate 👍

I've got hand torches that look the same and have lasted years. Wiring in parallel also means that if one fails the other keeps working.

These ones are going back! Think the wiring is just not up to the job. Spent quite a bit of money on new wiring, waterproof connectors and mini junction boxes but still didn't cope! Shame but get what you pay for I guess!

I’ve bought the exact same lights. Good suggestion with the upgraded switch. I have an old wiring loom for spotlights with a relay built in. Hoping to install them this weekend

just a heads up Denali makes a product specific to the NC750X for an LED lighting bracket that goes right under the beak and no, the forks won't get in the way of the lights. It's on revzilla. Looks much more cleaner than mounting it to crash bars.

Good to know! Thanks for the heads up!

I got the Honda Forza 750, the NC750, with back brake on the left handle. The lights were very very very bad (I don't know how it is road legal), I would over run the lights at night in 5 seconds at 80Km/h or 50mph..

Hi mate. Do you know the name/part number of the adaptors you referenced at 06:30 please? Is it the GIVI S951KIT2? I'm in exactly the same position with no crash bars so looking at what other options are available to me. They look really tidy on your bike. Thanks.
@SamVBikes2 жыл бұрын
Having a look at my order, it says they are Givi LS2130 Light mounts. That seems to be what comes up when googling too although I think they've gone up in price! That S951Kit2 seems very similar but looks more like a GPS mount! Hope that helps
@M4rkle2 жыл бұрын
@@SamVBikes Thanks mate. Those look much more suited for the purpose. But I get the impression they are bike specific. Hmm - all food for thought.
@SamVBikes2 жыл бұрын
I'd assume so! Mind you Givi are normally pretty good are making them available for a few different bikes, although their websites a bit crap for actually working out what you need and where to get them haha!

The thing is that the original BMW branded ones are made exactly by the same Chinese people who produce and sell the cheap ones on Amazon...

Can I ask ? The lights are wired directly to the battery and had a relay ? Can the lights be switched on when the ignition is turned off ? Thanks ,
@SamVBikes9 ай бұрын
They have a switch on the handlebar so you can turn them on/off whenever you like
@markbettsphotography9 ай бұрын
Ah ok , if you forget to turn them off when leaving the bike do they stay on and drain the battery ?
@SamVBikes9 ай бұрын
Yes, same as heated grips etc They are very bright so you won't forget them, and if you do, it's a heavy push to get the bike going ha

Did I catch a glimpse of a Garmin fitted to your bike? I am thinking of buying an NC750x but am looking for a way to fit a Garmin without using the ugly ram mount and clamps. Any suggestions gratefully received.
@SamVBikes3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not! I've been eying up the new(ish) Garmin XT so will update when I find a neat way of fitting it!
@alanthompson68Ай бұрын
I'm not sure I like the wiring method the manufacturer provides. There's no fuse, and the lights can drain the battery if you leave them on by mistake.

Can you send me a wire diagram plz

Nope... haha! Look a little later on the channel, there is an update which I think is called part 3 which is the final round which are still working now!

lots of 3rd party lights for under 50.00 white or fog; switcheable.

These ones ended up dying from water ingress so worth checking out the comments/reviews on any before you buy. There's an updated vid slightly later on my channel with the ones we upgraded to!

for the amount of money you paid, and lasting you 2 years .. probably Cheap is the wrong word. Makes one think the oem guys have been over charging us all along.

This was a very interesting video thank you, but every time I look at the bike I cringe because there is no protection for your girlfriend’s legs! Those crash bars only protect the engine. If she drops the bike, the lights will break, but more importantly, so will her leg. I’m sorry for the negative feedback and I’d normally keep it to myself. Your video is great and I’m grateful for your upload, but I’d feel bad if I didn’t say anything and next up is a video of her in a plaster cast. I hope you don’t think I’m being overly negative.
@SamVBikes8 ай бұрын
Appreciate the comment - unfortunately she has come off a few times on this bike. No injury to her at all. Between the crash bars and the rear pannier racks, there is plenty of space between the bike and the ground. The front of the bike is quite wide too so that helps. I don't think you're being overly negative at all! It's nice that you thought of that! Thank you for watching
