I studied communication in uni and Worked as an English teacher, and as a Guide in the city so I cannot imagine doing my job without talking. Also a lot of other vocations, like radio show hosts, podcasters, actors, counsellors or public speakers need to use their gift of oratorium. So it depends, in communication theory using words to clarify yourself it ask for clarifications is the recommended way to avoid miscommunications and misinterpreting situations or unspoken signals. So words can be very helpful and useful in solving misunderstandings and conflict. My two cents on the matter.
