Luck 9:23 ♥ Denying ourselves and taking up our cross every day reminds me of Andy Mineo's words, "I've got two choices, both require pain. One's the pain of change, or the pain of staying the same. One of them leads to joy, other one leads to shame. One of them leads to freedom, the other one keeps me in chains". Great video, boo!!! Ya did it again!

This series has been great. :) Your advice is awesome for Christians. You deserve so many more subscribers, and it makes me happy to see your channel growing bigger and bigger every day. 10,000 followers is a big deal, and I know it's far away, but I feel like it's coming soon. You make religion so worth it, you know? I don't know exactly what I'm trying to say. Like, you're pushing younger generations to step away from distractions and into their religion. You're really helping people find peace and purpose in their lives, like me. Even though I'm not a Christian, you just inspire me to practice my own religion and to not waste my time. And btw, I was looking it up, and Michael Phelps has a christian background (maybe his parents are christian) and he said he "believes" in God, but he's not religious. (I personally don't like to use the phrase '"believes in God"' because I just feel like it's irrelevant to how much religion has changed over years. Like, people could believe that there is a God, but I think some people confuse it with finding relevance in him. I'd also like to know anyone else's opinion on this if you're reading.) =)

the problem though is that the bible is very specific on what is right and wrong. There was this specific man called Jesus. The bible claims that the right thing to do is to believe in him, in order to have our sins forgiven. The bible teaches against just following a religion, and specifically claims that Jesus is the only name by which man can be saved. Jesus said, "whoever is not with me is against me". Moral of the story: it's important to see that the bible claims exclusivity, and specifically condemns all other paths. I hope that wasn't too harsh - I'm just pointing out the important difference between what you've said and what Jesus taught.

Aww oh my gosh!! Please don't be discouraged comparing yourself to me! The enemy LOVES to use comparison to discourage us in our walks with God. At many many points in my life, I have felt discouraged & that I wasn't good enough or especially smart enough compared to other people in my life. It robbed me of SO much joy! Over time I have learned that God gave me the brain He gave me for a reason - and one of my gifts is teaching others (I'm studying to be a teacher in college) so I try to practice that gift often through these videos! You have SO many gifts and talents! They're unique to you - and God wants to use them to bring Him glory!! I encourage you to find out what your spiritual gifts are, and think about the other earthly things you're good at too! You're talented, & God wired you the way you are today for a reason. I made a video about "not feeling good enough" last summer too - m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGWueHyqjLdjl7s Praying these words help you stomp the enemy's lies!!

As a guy who hasn't been as dedicated of a Christian as I should be, I definitely needed to hear this. Usually one of my first instincts to do when I wake up is to check my internet notifications and things of the like, and I haven't been studying my Bible as much as I used to (or as much as I should), but I want to.
@rickmeunier92918 жыл бұрын
Jacob, my brother! Consider a shift in how you are "viewing" Jesus and your life. God has invited us into HIS realm (domain or kingdom) for HIS purposes. His ultimate purpose is that Jesus would be the Centerpiece of all things (see Colossians 1). As children of God, our purpose is summed up nicely in Paul's entire letter to the Ephesians (check out 3:9-11). God's Eternal Purpose is that Jesus' Church would prepare herself to be his BRIDE! As God's Church, we were designed to EXPRESS Jesus as the Centerpiece he truly is -- in ALL things. So.....I urge you to wake up each morning not to "study" your Bible. Wake up and spend some time being LOVED BY JESUS and LOVING JESUS. We are here to live WITH him and relate to him much like we relate to people. Open your heart to him and learn to ENJOY simply being with him in the first minutes you are awake. Certainly utilize the Bible as a vehicle to guide you into being with Jesus. Remember that KNOWING Jesus doesn't equate to how much you learn about him (see John 5:39,40). Be easy on yourself as this can take a while to develop in your life (it can take years and years). By starting off your day quietly being WITH Jesus, loving him, and allowing him to LOVE YOU, you will find that the course of the rest of the day will have an amazing foundation to it. Let me know how you're doing with this after you've had some time to implement it. I'd be blest to pass on some pointers and some of the specific things that I've done during my morning times with Jesus; I've been at this for 40 years -- literally!! Oh, and don't be surprised if your sinful nature and all of the arsenal of the dark side comes against you attempting to put this into practice. Evil knows that time invested quietly WITH JESUS in fellowship will yield increasing joy, freedom, blessing, love for others, dying to self through his cross, and God's kingdom being built. May God's tender love for you be experienced increasingly.

that is amazing I don't know how all those atheist live by saying that religion is like a trap. heck how did they think anything they're saying is right they don't even know the difference between Christianity and religion. I'm glad you've joined Christianity. honestly I think those atheist to make fun of us are the weak ones. they never have to go through all the suffering that we do. just remember if you join Christianity you will be persecuted. as the Bible says we are sheeps Among Wolves. but if you stick with it you will find a purpose in life. and we all have a purpose. and I'm glad that you've chosen to make the first step and become a Christian.😃😄😇

Awsomegirl X4 You’ll find that some Christians call atheist, evil and demons, that’s not fair, I went to a Christian school and was bullied because I wasn’t what everyone wanted me to be and questioned god and how real he was. Just saying that atheists aren’t evil or ignorant we just have a different belief. I think religion is bullshit because I want to live in a world where people can be who they want without someone judging them.
@Ash_Queen166 жыл бұрын
If that's your reason to stay away from religion you are greatly mistaken. Being judgmental doesn't disprove Christianity you can find non religious people who are just as judgmental. For example China is a secular nation yet LGBT discrimination is common.

This is a good topic. You are very encouraging and non-judgemental, which truly is a gift. One I wish I had. One thing I would point out is that you mustn't imply the Pascal's Wager as a viable reason to live for Christ. Pascal's wager basically says you might as well believe, because if it's all true, you stand to benefit so much, but if it's not true, it's of no cost to you. The bible goes on and on about how God knows our hearts. We can't deceive him with fake faith. We live the life Christ calls us to live because we realise that it's the right thing to do, not to feel better about ourselves because we cover all bases and we do good deeds that give us that warm fuzzy feeling inside! The whole point of the gospel is that mankind is sinful, and so God has revealed himself, so that some would see the light and be transformed, and others would see and turn away, because they are in darkness. This is all about us seeing truth through the spectacles of God, and leaving our self-deception and destructive lifestyles.

What are treasure you are! I love how you are taking time to encourage people and share God's light, love, and truth. I love the heart you have to bless others. I agree with so much of what you shared. I would love to encourage you further with some thoughts to ponder that really helped me live in even greater levels of freedom in Christ. The whole amazing "good news" of what Jesus did for us was to take the old, sinful, dead life and exchange it for a new, whole, perfect life that has complete access to God's goodness here and now. What Jesus asks us to give up is the former dead end life, not the new life. As new creation sons and daughters we aren't asked to diminish or become less, but to give God our all, to believe He has made us good, perfected, fully equipped, and filled with everything He is and live that out to the fullest measure in Christ. What if he doesn't want less, but He wants all? What if part of giving Him our all is believing He gave us His mind and heart to live this life well in Him? When John said he needed to become less he wasn't talking about his personhood or gifting, but he recognized that his calling was to prepare the way for the Messiah. That job was now ending because Jesus, the Messiah was here. His ministry was giving way to Jesus', that was the decrease he speaks of in John 3:30. When Jesus asks us to deny ourselves and follow Him, He asks us to deny the "old man", the life Adam's seed corrupted, and that "old nature" that craved after things that led to death. The new creation self Jesus provides us doesn't need denied at all, but fully embraced to live abundantly the good of God, empowered by His Spirit to love, and bring heaven to earth. I guess it is a perspective shift. I think as Christians too much time is spent on focusing on negatives of what we are denying or shouldn't do, but I think God's heart and what Jesus modeled was looking to the permissions of God. There is an exciting life of adventure awaiting us when we look to God to breath His spirit in us and live the life He planned for us from the foundations of the earth to the fullest measure. I know this was pretty long, so thanks for reading : ) I bless you, your journey, and this channel to remain saturated in the love of the Father. You have His heart and He is so proud of you! Blessings, Jennette P.S. I so appreciate Francis Chan and his ministry too. His book Forgotten God was an amazing gift in an important season of my life.

I liked the video but I think the wording could b a little better, I get the living ur life 4 Christ and putting him first but that doesn't necessarily mean not living 4 urself anymore, u can still a lot of things in life that u want 2 do while still honoring god, that's how we can honor him by showing people that u can live a happy life where u do want u want 2 do while still being Christian and showing other people that christians still do what they want as long as god would b happy with it and showing that christians r a lot of people, scientists, singers, travelers, philosophers, and u talk about how u don't think people on their death bed regret putting people first but one of the top 5 regrets old people on their death bed say one of their regrets is would b living their life the way other people wanted them 2, not how they wanted 2, I hope I don't sound harsh, i just wanted 2 address my thoughts on that cause after all the more knowledge and perspectives we understand the better
