India is itself a Khichdi in itself. A beautiful, tasty and rich Khichdi. So why can't the govt that represents this Khichdi be a Khichdi!

Becoz that sounds poetic but need not necessarily be logical. The rational, civil discussion on the topic in the video eventually made it logical.

It was a great convesation. Accoding to me coalition governemt works in ideal conditions like in Germany for example. But in a country like India where corruption is still rampant, it will do more harm than good. Becasue everyone will look for filling up their zola. That will happen in majority governemt too but in that case they will know that they dont have to worry about governement falling apart. Also policymaking is disastrous with colaitions in India. We can see many examples of this in the great coalition era.

Khichdi government is good for India. In the name of competing with the world and becoming world's largest economy we should not destroy our democracy by giving staunch majority.

i agree...specially with how diverse our people are, people in power also need to be diverse in culture and political ideologies...it's better if they debate cause no one would be able to pass bills unilaterally

Hmm, interesting. Please reply if you are reading this :) You are in favor of coalition government because you think it promotes discussion and debate among parties on controversial bills like the UCC, farm bills, etc., which ultimately benefits the citizens. However, there's another perspective to consider. It can be extremely difficult for a coalition government to pass even necessary bills, like the Women's Reservation Bill, which could be opposed by parties like AIMIM. If they were part of the coalition, passing the bill without meeting their demands (which I find extremely pointless) would be challenging. Additionally, the removal of Article 370 could not have been achieved by any coalition government, and from what I've read, the situation there seems better now than before. By the way, how do I join these debates?

Trisha.... were you really a real proponent to the opposing argument in the debate? Though I agree that he has valid points and I agree any right wing totalitarian govt is not good for secular India, but I also do believe there are so many important points that were not brought to the forefront.. horse trading (not a one sided problem now. Collation govt inspired ), dynastic rule (though it's not just a one sided problem now. collations govt inspired), arbitrary splinter political groups emerging in governance without valid backing from public on the new party formation in parliament, tainted political heads being entertained because of political necessities, no accountability or self regulatory body to access manifesto achievements when forming a collation govt, all is brushed under the carpet because of party being paramount. There are so many more points that could have been discussed and shown to be also evils of collations just like how brute majority has its own evils

PM does not matter. What matters is the powerful group of the ruling party that decides everything. Ex The Gandhi gang of UPA-I and II. Even now if Modi doesn't become PM, Modi-Shah will still call the shots. Will any BJP- member do any thing without the say so of Duo.

I think you misjudged the ideology of the AAP party. AAP is a far-right party. Right now, they are relying on freebies, but they are as radical as the BJP. They don't have much power right now, so they look like a freebies party, but I say again that they are as radical as the BJP/RSS. Kejriwal is a mirror image of Yogi with an IIT degree.
@NightShade95
@NightShade95 Ай бұрын
Wont strongly agree with this. Yes Yogi is a downright right extremist but instead of just focussing on religious extremism, his extremism strongly promotes and prioritises construction of resources. BJP is currently holding nothing back in infrastructure and defense. They are basically saying let us work in peace, if you try to de-construct or divide in any social or civil aspect, you’ll get fucked like the mafia. Yogi and BJP for that matter basically wants a nationalist harmony because they have a target of putting the entire country on the map and they make a clear statement of aggressively dealing with matters that prevent them from doing so. Kejriwal on the other hand is getting disappointing by the day. This guy once openly declared war against corruption and today he said vote for alliance or they’ll put me in jail. Bro be legit asking for votes on sympathy. He isnt a strongheaded as yogi. He has materialistic obligations, yogi has kārmik obligations. I thoroughly read manifestos from both sides. On one side i see a dedicated group of individuals, who have done their homework on the issues, who are aware of the finer processes of commerce, administration, infrastructure, and society of country, working towards a common cause of development, they have their own issues of arrogance and mindset though but they are firm and believe in what they do and not really rely on emotional and weird tactics. They have kept their emotion combined with religion, completely separate from issues of national benefit but still benefitting from the harmony. (Go take a look in ayodhya and neighboring districts). INDI alliance manifesto seems to be a collection of quotes by a 25 year old political marketing graduate hotshot with a clear, distinctive, victorian, master-slave mindset. Their points seem like proper cheap bait for the reader, freebies after freebies with no accountability, no underlying technicalities of how their schemes would work, just blatant blurting of unreasonable goals with a recurring, underlying theme of promoting divide under the sweet little bow of empathy with minorities. And we all know what congress truly means by minorities. Congress should really revisit their current stance in national politics and update their thinking. Nope. Uh-uh. As a former affiliate of INC and witnessing the strategy and choices that party representatives have made over years, this manifesto scares me left and right. Its explains the way they think and its in no way able and appropriate to run a country as intense as Bhaarat.

@@NightShade95 one can see BJP wanting "national harmony" only if they have blinds on......like literally want? this is especially weird knowing what's going on nowadays.... "This guy once openly declared war against corruption and today he said vote for alliance or they’ll put me in jail. Bro be legit asking for votes on sympathy" unlike modi and bjp who recently were asking for votes by fear mongering, brainwashing the ignorant about how congress will give their "mangalsutra'" to the muslims. "I thoroughly read manifestos from both sides. On one side i see a dedicated group of individuals, who have done their homework on the issues," is this your first election ? remember what happened to their last manifesto? what about those promises? if only you could teach these "dedicated group of individuals" to read the manifesto, they wouldn't have talking about meaningless sh#t but we all know they still would have done it...... "' He has materialistic obligations, yogi has kārmik obligations.'" your religious BS is evident... cover it with as much meaningless rhetoric as needed but at the end it boils down to your support for a hindu fascism...

Girl was right; Meghnerd is outright wrong. Take example of next implementation to come: If BJP comes, some of things like petrol sale which are not under GST yet would easily come under GST and correctly so as fossil fuel is national resource even if 3-4 states might have most to lose from revenue perspective. Now with Khichdi govt, this will never be implemented as those 2-3 regional party will never agree and let it be brought under GST.
