Are content creators narcissistic or arrogant?

Yep...pretty much. Same here, I consider myself best or 'bloody good' at certain things and was the 1st to do a lot in the community that now seemingly is considered collectively as common knowledge on certain conclusions - planting seeds etc. A lot regarding TRoS videos and the researched RWS loco bashing that also evolved into loco 3D printing that others have copied from...yada yada etc. Yeah. So how do you say such things without sounding a fat headed arsebag? I dunno...so I usually don't, yet like you said, it's hard not to have a certain level of pride or self respect of what you percieve to be influencial achievements that have benefited the community as a whole.

I remember having times in my life where I have shown to be conceited, arrogant, stuck-up, and egotistical. And looking back on those memories, I can barely call myself a saint at all on any of those memories where I was just too plain ignorant and stubborn to see how my pride can leave a bad impression on me and turn other people off. I hate the thought of being labeled as narcissistic because yes, I had moments that I acted like an asshole. But I don't even like narcissism in general because I have been friends with some people online that I didn't know are nothing but self-centered, uncaring, and pathetically narcissistic jackasses. I even cut ties with some of these people because of their selfish and stuck-up nature, as well as their sense of narcissism and deplorable behavior, let alone realize that making friends with a narcissistic person is a mistake we all let happen. Whether it is beyond our control or not. I have made mistakes before and even I knew some of them were wrong. And mistakes are what make all of us human, though unless if one's actions were that abominable. I may be happy with the things I make, and I may be perfectionistic. But even then, I can't stand seeing myself as someone who would be in the likes of other real life people that are actual narcissists like Butch Hartman or even worse John K. of all people. But in answer to your question. No, I don't believe all Thomas content creators are arrogant or narcissistic, conceited asshats. There are some who choose to know what's best for their audience and not let their ego get in the way. Not that there's anything wrong with being proud or happy with your work. But don't be a jackass about it.

I think a little self-centeredness/pride is important. Too much self-deprecation or undervaluing your own work can hurt your motivation to keep at it. As long as you give yourself credit where credit is due, without being complacent in your abilities, then that's for the best. Whether others will see you as self-centered or whatever, that's simply their perspective.

Good way of putting it, lad
