Go research what MINISCULE examples which anyone today would laugh at, the prophet labelled as riba. Go research where the riba money, or your business with the banks goes to, and where it is utilized. If you raise a fist and resent the innocent people dying in the holy lands etc, and have a credit card, then I pray that you get rid of it, for that would be hypocritical of you. If you truly care about the matter, go listen to imran hossein about riba. Most of these shiekhs have no academic knowledge on monetary matters.
@blackmessi2042 жыл бұрын
@@nox1772 yet you do have the academic knowledge? Islam isn’t just knowing what is haram and halal, we look at what Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) did back when he was here such as praying 5 times a day with sunnah when you have time, eating with your right hand and much more. But we over look the quality parts of his personality, we only look at the religious prayer side of what he did but never look at how he was a kind, honest, open minded person. I only see us replicating the prayer and such but never the open mindedness. Many sheikhs who seem like they know everything may be a close minded, rude person no matter how religious.

Even if not counting the interest in the contract as a "major sin", it is a slippery slope in trying to "justify" the reasons. Over-time one's original fortitude to guard against "threshold" of hardship becomes diluted + The reasoning "major" Scholars have supported having credit card, is not a valid argument since they can be wrong also. We can't change the pure and simple ruling of a haram and major sin unless it is a "life and death" bec in this case a person doesn't need to ravel and rent a car with credit card. He can hail "Uber or Taxi" etc.

Wa'alaykum assalaam. It's not under your control whether the person paying is responsibly using credit cards and paying on time without paying interest. I use credit cards all the time and do not pay interest on mine because I always pay on time, Alhamdulillaah. It's the one using the credit cards who bears responsibility for paying on time and avoiding interest, not the stores receiving payment, so I don't see why your store would be responsible for accepting credit card payments, unless you want to be strict and lose out on significant business JUST IN CASE one or more purchasers might be irresponsible and end up paying interest from not paying their banks on time. I'm no fuqaha and can't issue fatwas, so those are just my thoughts for what they're worth, but you might want to run your question by a well-qualified scholar like Yasir Qadhi if the issue is bothering you.

Sheikh i have a question and would like to get your opinion on it.
@zenastronomy2 жыл бұрын
I don't think the sheikh understands the damage done by credit cards in behind the scenes. there is something called credit backed securities. basically banks will collect thousand of credit cards and pool it into a giant security and that security will then be sold to pension funds, and other funds like children's savings accounts, insurance companies etc. so this is what allows banks to give credit to people they otherwise wouldn't give and trap them into debt slavery. and then knowing that they can't pay it off they sell it to pension funds. but they can only do this because the banks pool good credit users and bad credit cards users into 1 giant security to sell it to the pension funds. the pension funds wouldn't otherwise accept the people who can't afford to pay their credit cards. because if the banks only pooled people who can't pay the credit and tried to sell it to the pension funds they wouldn't take it. and this means the banks can't risk giving credit cards to people who can't afford it. so they wouldn't give out credit cards to majority of poor people. but because people who are good credit card users exist. the bank can pool 95 good users and 5 bad users and sell it to as a bundle. this is why credit debt has exploded in last few decades. so when the sheikh says the harm is only to yourself he doesn't understand the system. an example of this was the 2008 mortgage collpase. banks gave huge credit mortgages to people they knew couldn't afford it. as the banks would bundle the mortgages from people who could with people who couldn't and sell it to pension funds. that way the banks never lost money. and mortgages and prices just kept increasing and increasing and then the defaults started happening. and who paid? the pension funds. what happened to society? some women were forced into prostitution, some committed suicide etc. as they lost their houses to the riba and others lost their pensions to the riba.

Banks offer credit cards (loan) and charge you interest. Which is haram in the first place and if you earn money back by spending it then that earned money becomes haram income. The best way is to stay away from credit cards and give the money earned as charity to cleanse yourself. And Allah knows best.
@symbiotezilla123455 жыл бұрын
Naser Orić It becomes haram if it’s interest “savings” explicitly. The brother/sister is wondering about reward programs which pay you money for spending money. Like paying you $3 for spending $10. Rather than the bank paying you interest for borrowing money. Nonetheless people should stay away from credit cards if there’s no necessity (which large businesses who make big purchases need) considering a deal is made to pay interest incase you miss payments

azaadi8 Just to answer your question, the short answer is that cashback rewards are halal since the bank is basically “decreasing the amount that YOU owe”. So if you made a purchase for $10, the bank decides to reward you with $3, then you only lose $7. The scholars pretty much agree that paying back *less than what you owe* is halal. Paying back *more than you owe* is considered riba and haram. Like having to pay back $13 instead of $10. The fatwa: www.google.com/amp/s/islamqa.info/amp/en/answers/260196

The many people who commit suicide because of debt, the anxiety of having debt that's pilling up by riba and how the other parties benefit while the others are being harmed. @w.m.aslam-author4 жыл бұрын
If we look at the reality on the ground, we’ll see that interest banking has destroyed much of the world. Most of the Western nations are drowning in debt, and Africa has been sentenced to perpetual debt. Credit cards create and even encourage debt, and lead to poverty and homelessness. Interest mortgages have led to poverty and homelessness too. Most people that end up in debt start off with credit cards. Banks are happy to give you a credit card as they know they’ll make more money from interest, as many people miss payments or take out more than they need. As far as Islamic banking is concerned, there is no 100% Shariah option. So-called Islamic banking is actually more expensive than regular mortgages. Credit cards and mortgages should be avoided at all costs. The reason houses and goods are so expensive is due to interest based payment options being so readily available. Credit without interest is fine, but in the UK a credit card can have up to 67% APR. I am not a scholar, I am a simple Muslim, and my advice to everyone is to not take credit cards or enter interest or so-called Islamic mortgages. I hope you save yourselves from this great trial. Allah knows best.

Only Allah knows what’s his intention and that’s between him and Allah. 3) He has given solid arguments to make the use of a credit card halal WITH some conditions so he’s most likely not wrong anyway. Of course it's halal because you pay for a service . When you get a contract I'm assuming you get data and minutes with it . If that's the case then no problem

There are seventy-two types of riba, the least of which is like a man committing incest with his mother.” Narrated by al-Tabaraani in al-Awsat; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 3537

YQ saus zina destroys the whole society whereas riba only harms the individual. Doesn't he know whole countries are being enslaved by lending through riba?

@@Synocra Have you watched Dan Gibson's Petra being the real birth place of Islam documentary? Somebody credible who really knows hadiths and history needs to argue against him.

@@ncroc ive watched a few mins and I think he's trying to say that Mecca was Petra but then it was conquered or smth. But we've all heard about Abraham PBUH and when He left Ismail and Hajar alone in the middle of the desert, later to be known as Mecca.

@notyourtypicalfarah7194 You're too naive to understand YQ's forked tongue. He makes disclaimers in advance *because* he knows he is peddling baatil opinions. Fools believe him inspite of evidence proving his stances are untenable. He is an open sellout.
