Idk if you just didn’t watch league in 2020/2021, but Showmaker and Canyon especially were so incredibly dominant. I’m sure Beryl helped somewhat with the structure of the team, but to say he’s a main catalyst is just silly. To say that is to value intangibles, which by definition we cannot quantify except through conjecture, over tangibles like Showmaker Canyon hard stomping everyone.

What I find the most frustrating with lane swap especially with Los Ratones is I feel it makes the champion pool top narrower. Less champion can be picked top because they will get fisted in lane swap so the meta top is super rigid.

laneswaps almost never happens in dota, its more so because of the draft and the purpose of the sidelane picks, a carry is supposed to be the one carrying you and similarly an offlane is the one youre laning against, its almost always that an offlaner will give the opposing carry a hard time in lane, having one of the teams initiate a swap so its the two carries against each other and both offlaners vs each other it just negates the purpose as to why you picked that comp in the first place, in league you swap lanes to have an advantage, in dota thats rarely ever called an advantage the ones who "move around a lot" though are the 2 supports primarily the offlane support sine thats a role where a lot of disabling and cc heroes gets picked, a common occurence of a roam is contesting the first power rune in mid river as it gives the whichever mid that gets it a tempo advantage.

In c9 licorish was the best top laner in NA. His ego got the better of him and left the team. He hasn't come close to his old form. Later in a stream meteos explain what they had to do for licorish to be that good. So teams take the top laners but don't realize the team cover there weaknesses.

Fearless is just an evolution of League and it's a shame Riot was too coward to make it last longer. It's more about what players can actually perform at a competitive level, we're seeing a couple of amazing counterpicks or comps that never would have space appear in games 3/4 but only flexible teams are able to do so. Thing is, some teams won/almost won MSI and Worlds playing a single-style (think Gen.G last few years) EVERY SINGLE GAME and those will struggle a lot.
