I don’t think it will be xornoth. But I think it is the spirit that corrupted him is now going for Shubble. Katherine’s story basically screams I AM GOING EVIL SOON! And the story of season 1 was as far from obvious as you can get. That’s why I think MythicalSausage and Joey are out of the villain because they were possessed villains. Katherine is too obvious. I believe Shubble is going to go full villain this season. Here’s the evidence: Fog: You know the witches of the council are scared of you. You are stronger in magic then all of them combined. They are waiting for any reason to ban you. It doesn’t matter if it is bad or good. I’ll be here wait.

My theory is that Lizzie is a descendant of one of Joey's villagers. In her video, she stated that the last interaction her people had with a human, is when a human ruler kept them in cages wearing silly outfits. I think that ruler was Joey, and the outfits were the villager robes

News! Lizzie recently posted her empires video and it was full of tea and references to season 1. First Lizzie had confirmed (as if it wasn't already spoiled thanks to joel lmao) that she was a cat, and she explained how her ancestors were imprisoned in a certain empire *cough* Lost Empire *cough* never to set foot out. And she even made references to how she made axolotls as cute protection guards in her waters around her village cause she read about how a certain someone can command an army of them (s1 lizzie) and serve her protection. And isn't it just me or her buildings look a little too similar to Gem's academy? and the fact lizzie has her amethyst mines while Xornoth was imprisoned in amethyst?? Could lizzie stumple upon Xornoth in the future??

I have a theory about Gem and FWhip, after the great explosion, when the twins left empires, they went to where Dawn stood, Wizard Gem has been appointed by the village they moved at as a leader. Later on, as she knew that her time will end, she used majority of her powers and later on gave birth to Princess Gem, it took toll of both Wizard Gem's power and health. Before her last breath, she granted FWhip, her twin's wish, to be able to take care of his niece, Princess Gem, and take care of her till she grows up. Wizard Gem's powers are very weak hence instead of giving FWhip more time to live, he became a goblin. And before Wizard Gem died, she tried removing both FWhip and baby Princess Gem's memories making sure that they'll be able to remember once the time is right. And when Princess Gem grows up, she'll be able to rebuild what was left of Dawn using her mother's guidance, the wisps, the magical beings her mother created before creating Princess Gem herself.

I feel out of all the empires from season one to possibly uncovered by Pix or maybe someone else, I feel like it would be the Ocean Empire. I like to imagine that during the changes to the world between those thousands of years, the lilypads decayed, but the prisma palace stayed standing. It may have been drowned out even, almost like alantis. Still being ruled by fish, just not very smart ones. I'm hoping we see something of it return, lizzie had so much of her own lore for it that could play a part in this season, even if its minor. Like Pirate joe doing a raid of it and maybe finding Queen Lizzies armor, it being insanely big seeing she was ten feet tall lol.

I like to believe that Princess Gem was a non-magical descendant of Wizard Gem, and couldn’t attend the academy because she didn’t have the powers to do so. Maybe Wizard Gem cast a spell on herself to make sure she never died, turning her into the sun. I don't know what that means about Joey's finale but if the lore adds up Xornoth can't come back. Me and my friends (who are empires smp fans) created this theory (episode 1) where each of the new emperors/monarchs/princesses e.t.c we’re descendants from the previous empires, and since there was evidence in Emp S1 that the rulers live for like years and years. I'm prolly late for this but I think the character shrub from S1 is alive somewhere. We all know that Shrub was a hundred years old so it might be possible for a gnome to live thousands of years too, and I think Shrub is still somewhere in the empires world either in the nether lookin for the gnomes or living happily with her family and the other gnomes. Thought of her might be alive somewhere meaning she can come back to the story, to me that is something I want to happen.

I think that gem’s pet cat is actually Lizzie, she saw how Lizzie couldn’t make it because the ocean or sea was destroyed and she couldn’t it survive. So Gem told Shelby to make sure she survives so Shelby made the decision to turn Lizzie into Gem’s pet cat

Me personally, I think some of them are connected. Like for example, Kathrine's playthrough, in her first episode, when she's explaining what happened to Glimmer Grove (I think that's her kingdom's name in season 2) gets destroyed like how the Overgrown got destroyed. I also think Shelby's playthrough is connected to Gem's season one playthrough. Lizzie, I'm not so sure. But I don't think Joel or Fwhip's playthrough are connected, nor Jimmy's playthrough because Jimmy said in his first episode that you didn't need to watch season one because it's not connected to season two, but I'm not sure if he meant that for his playthrough or the empire series in general. Joey's might be connected, but that's only because Joey still lives in the jungle biome yet, I haven't watched Joey's playthrough yet. I don't think Scott is connected either. But this is just my personal opinion, I really want some responses.

Lol. Nice theories and a really well made video. Personally I hope Xornoth does not return as I found his storyline went on far too long and detracted from the more light-hearted shenanigans. I did like Shelby’s Gollum impersonation though when she got hold of the crystal 😊 I think a nod to the ancient history would be a nice touch with them discovering hints of distant ancestors. Wouldn’t it be great if Sausages assassins guild is still lurking in the shadows and his assassin carts suddenly start appearing, and what if Pixandria’s protector formed an ancient order of defenders. One thing is for sure, the players will come up with far better unexpected storylines than I could ever predict.

i will say the architecture in lizzie’s empire season 2 matches with gem’s empire season 1, maybe lizzie is a grandchild of the cat who watched over the crystal cliffs

this is what i told pix "Hey Pixlriffs, I've come up with the conclusion that the tomb is most likely a tomb for the royals and nobles of Mythical Sausage's Ancestors (Mythlandic people.) Firstly, it is canon that Mythland has had multiple set ups for it's kingdom all across the world (As confirmed in his 1.18 Minecraft hardcore series) his style is very similar to the bridge or the castle-like structure. I think that after the death of their most powerful king (Mythical J Sausage, the J is silent) they valued death and slowly diverted from the origin of red, orange, and black to more cold colors to remember his death. Also these catacombs are underground, and all of the builds that are underground constructed by a family member of Sausage are very similar to the catacombs style. Also to back up the changing of styles, when the series started Sausage confirmed it to be 1000 years since the ending of Season 1; and being that 1000 is a lot of time to change their customs could have very much changed too. The Mythlandic Pantheon is polytheistic (hence why it's a pantheon) and consists of many unnamed deities and since blood sheep (the main group of gods worshipped at the time) caused so much harm to their king they changed their main gods to gods that fit with the events. Emerald represents rebirth and hope which are 2 things they must have really wanted. So it just makes so much sense that your restorations are restorations of later Mythlandic settlements. Also because of this video I have an explanation for the dual character thingy ma jig. So like basically the Mythlandic people at the time slowly drifted away from blood sheep and into other gods, however cults of said gods arose but these cults worshiped said gods for different reasons, dark reasons. So the mythlandic people of the time created the statue to symbolize the dual-sides to their gods and accept them, perhaps that god is the god of the dead, or the god of the nature cycle, which could make sense because it looks like Pearl and we know Pearl is a nature-ish god."

What I personally noticed, season 1 Lizzie was a water creature and the ruler of oceans, while season 2 Lizzie is reborn as a cat human. It’s known that cats hate water, maybe it was a curse so season 2 Lizzie doesn’t regain the power season 1 Lizzie had. Maybe it was just destiny doing it’s work, or is it?

I know this is late but when Katherine saved the fairies those fairies could’ve been descendants of the fairies from the overgrown in season 1 and that some of the bad witches from stubbles academy could’ve been the ones to capture this fairies before the overgrown fell

There is a change that they are connected! if you watched Sausage's Episode 1 season 2 You'll hear him say that empires 2 was set a thousand years after Xornoth's Defeat there's also a possibility that they are the descendants of each member of empires 1 and probably false was the descendants of pearl so yea!

Wasn't Xornoth killed when Scott sacrificed himself? The 2 champions souls are connected and Scott sent himself to the afterlife so he could end the endless battle between the champions. I feel like if Xornoth came back it would kinda ruin the sacrifice Scott made. However EMSP season 2 is connected to season 1 because season 2 is happening 1,000 years later so yes this is the same world

Shubble specified that wizards and witches are 2 different things. So they aren’t same academy. Wonder if there was any sort of fighting between witches and wizards in the past tho.

Xornoth coming back isn't possible though. His and Scott's lifeforces were bound togther bc of them being champtions thing and Scott *did* seperate his soul from his body during the s1 final of his POV. Unless Scott become a champion of Aeor again (which I doubt), Xornoth should not be around again
