ARE EV's WORTH THE RISKS ?

Owning an EV has it's risks, the questions you should be asking yourself is.
Can it catch fire, yes like ICE vehicles but EV's I think pose a higher risk than petrol or diesel vehicles in my view.
If you was involved in a crash could the car catch fire? yes?
and the same for petrol and diesels vehicles, BUT if the cars battery in a EV is affected by the crash the battery can spontaneously ignite weeks later.
Due to the hazards associated with lithium batteries, there have been a number of changes to transport legislation over the past few years.
FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW?
Lithium batteries are articles and are now assigned their own UN numbers and Lithium batteries are now effectively classified as Class 9 material - termed “miscellaneous dangerous goods”.
UN 3091, Lithium metal batteries contained in equipment or packed with equipment
Petrol UN1203 and Diesel UN1202.
Now for the big questions.
Will I ever get a EV = No?
The risks out way the benefits, Why?

There is a very high risk of having a accident in any vehicle including a EV,
if a EV's is involved in a crash the battery can spontaneously ignite weeks later and one did, read what happened.
Tesla ignited in a junkyard
In June 2022, a team of firefighters from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District arrived to a fire at an auto wrecker. A crashed Tesla Model S had been sitting in the junkyard for three weeks when it spontaneously ignited, as reported in the fire department´s Instagram account.
The only way they was able to put the fire out was to dig a large pit bigger than the car fill it full of water then submerge the car in it putting out the fire.
