Are Hasbro Action Figures Still Worth Collecting in 2024?? - Cavalcade of Clearance

It seems that more and more toylines are making their way down the marked downed aisles of the discount store, a majority from the largest toy company, HASBRO! So, I decided to ask the question... Are Hasbro figures still worth buying even at a discounted price? Or are they STILL easily passed over? Welcome to my CAVALCADE OF CLEARANCE

Marvel Legends has had a big jump in quality in the past couple years, especially their excellent face printing. I love the line more than ever, but I do wait for clearance on some things. I also got the Grey Hulk two pack and Joe Fixit at a rock bottom price, incredible deals imo.

I recently did a large unboxing of discount Marvel Legends, but I have other stuff from other lines. Some of the same stuff you got, some (like Honor Among Thieves) not so much. I definitely agree that the Beholder should have had a flight stand. Of all of them, the Displacer beast is the only one I would want. Rather than Toad on discount, I got Iron Man. I got most of my Avengers Beyond Earth's Mightiest stuff on discount, minus Hawkeye, Black Widow and Bucky Cap (and Giant-Man and Wasp).Joe Fixit (Also my favorite Hulk by far) was 39.99 - the gun is nonsensically large and in no way comic book accurate. Overall, nice video - you are pretty thorough.

Me personally, I always wait till there on sale or on ebay as while these figures are great, especially modern legends. Yeah nah I don´t have the budget for these, especially when I can also buy stuff from my other hobbies for less money. The bad part is that I don´t actually have Legends sell in stores in my country so most of the time they aren´t really on sale or clearance for like five dollars like they are over in the U.S.

I my opinion, almost everything in the video was drastically overpriced by Hasbro. Starting line up was the worst offender. At this point in my collecting I’m only grabbing classic characters in their classic looks (although legends started leaning hard into that, they must’ve heard me lol). What o got from the D&D line was all clearance so far. I’m not sure how much longer legends can entice me though as the roster of wants is thinning. I’ve been leaning into Indy lines and new IP’s. More fun and the figures are phenomenal. Nostalgia is a glider and only gets you so far.

I used to buy every legend, but I’ve slacked way off on them. They still make such weird decisions with waves. Look at the new Zabu wave for example. That wave is a total mixed bag. 2 modern figures no one wanted or asked for (black winter and red widow), 2 great looking figures (cable and Ka-Zar), 1 completely inaccurate figure that doesn’t even have a baf piece (superior iron man), and 2 figs that could’ve been great but have awful articulation and only an alternate set of hands for accessories (wolfsbane and Ikaris). Hasbro pulled legends waves from target and Walmart because they were always going on clearance instead of reevaluating their waves and giving us what we really wanted. And they have such terrible articulation. The recent X-men 97 Jean grey literally had no torso articulation and a ball jointed waist and neck that barely functioned.

Hi, I appreciate you taking the time to write this out and I apologize for any offense caused. It was never my intention to do so. It was a dumb and poorly worded statement about having these two side-by-side for height/build. I should have rewritten it to better note these more realistic (as realistic as G.I. Joe can be) black action figures. You're absolutely right and I realize how thoughtless it sounds in hindsight. Thanks for your feedback and I'll definitely be more mindful in the future --especially when I get around to reviewing the aforementioned Road Block.

It’s irritating how much that rogue figure shot up in value. I’ve only found 1 X-men 97 wave 1 figure locally and it was bishop yesterday at GameStop. That first wave had such awful distribution and rogue is impossible to find now.

@@BoogSReviews yeah that is the other side of waiting for a sale. If it sells out before clearance, you pay extra. So marine’s it’s like predicting the stock market supply and demand. It isn’t an exact science

Hasbro is amazing! Collectors nowadays are spoiled and entitled, wanting 90 pairs of hands. 20 accessories, and more articulation than a humanoid body should have for $20. It's a joke. No other company puts out as much as Hasbro at a price that's affordable to the majority.

They literally reuse molds at every chance they get. The least they could do is put that reuse to use and give us more pairs of hands. Grabbing, relaxed, and fisted hands should be standard for all legends.
