Houses are grotesquely overpriced. It's completely due to greed, corruption, and a bogus theory of location. Yes I understand you pay for a location, but that has absolutely no bearing on what it cost to build that house. I paid 45 thousand dollars for my house which is a 1978. It's 1200 square feet and it's priced about right for the material and cost for its age. That same house in Malibu, or Hawaii or something, would probably cost close to 500 thousand maybe even approaching a million. It's totally corrupt and is a massive gouge. No wonder there are so many homeless people in the country.

Houses are overpriced just like cars are overpriced. The American dream of owning a home for many has become only a fantasy. Even in bad neighborhoods houses are way too high.

I live in Atlanta, and I can tell you it's expensive here too. Not sure why he said Atlanta is affordable. You will have to buy a house an hour away from where you typically work in order to find affordable housing.

IDK? Does anyone have a spare $200,000 to $300,000 laying around for a 2-4 bedroom home? No? Then yes housing is way to much money.

Guys I stopped eating avocado toast and going to Starbucks 4x a day. I was able to buy a starter home in NY for 500k. Just stop eating avocado toast and going to Starbucks 4x a day.
