Is there actually a way to allow or is there something that prevents a non-elected person from being the speaker? I feel like this is a step that needs to be discussed more before making a call if this has not been done before. It just seems questionable when it comes to a person being the highest level of Congress when they are not actually a part of congress. This doesn’t mean I am against it but are there concerns about being spread too thin? Elon holds a lot of government contract company stocks from what I can see. I only bring this up because there is so much talk about insider trading being done by many members of Congress i.e. Pelosi is at the top of the list for having better returns than Warren Buffet. With Mr. Musk being as incredibly smart as he is, I just hope there is some sort of consideration to mitigate any potential shady activity should he get this role. I believe he wouldn’t take advantage of insider knowledge but I am sure many would say he did even if it was just more liberal propaganda as most of the news these days is.
