We are like a small group that resembles the world as there are Jews that look Asian, look European, look African, etc. We are like a nation of nations but one nation. Despite all the troubles of being a Jew, I still love and am proud to come from such a strong and resilient people.

The myth of an 'ancient tribe', who never ever intermarried, of a religion to which no one has ever converted, or from which anyone has ever converted is just that - a myth. That myth has been used, in the last 75 years to excuse the most heinous racism and disrespect to the natively born people of Palestine. That myth has been used by international elites as an excuse to steal land, attempt to erase culture and to seek financial profit from that colonialism. For anyone to be genuinely proud of whichever ancestry they have, those realities must be honestly faced. As I see it; true pride comes from doing what a person can, to advocate for justice, respect and humanity. Unfortunately, so much evidence shows that those qualities are seriously lacking, in Israel. In fact, the Jewish people in Israel who are taking risks, in order to advocate for Peace, are documented to be facing oppression, by suprematist zionists. I would be very careful about letting anyone lull others into a false sense of pride, that's really derived from racism and suprematism. Those failings were the main causes of the two World Wars and they deserve to be in the 'never again' sections of history books.

God kept the Jewish people together. For us Christians, it is a reminder of God's faithfulness. I know it is a miracle that the Jewish people have been preserved to this day. Furthermore, it is a fulfilment of a prophecy in Ezekiel that Israel would be reborn in a day, which is exactly what happened in 1948. Israel was immediately attacked by its Arab neighbors and survived!!! Another miracle! Praise the God ofAbraham, Isaac and Jacob!

@@anamericanfriend2367 I recommend to study Palestinian and British colonial history. Arab countries didn't "attack" a "miraculous Israel" in 1948. Arab countries and natively born Palestinians were DEFENDING THEIR LAND FROM COLONIAL ZIONISTS. I would keep sentiments of "miracles" and "chosen people" for literature and film. In REALITY, British colonials had ASKED Arab countries about what they wanted for the lands IN WHICH THEY (ARABS) LIVED. Those countries had explicitly said that they wanted ONE, multi faith and diverse State of Palestine. They didn't want any more violent, zionist immigrants. (See the responses to the 1930's Peel Commission). When those wishes were completely ignored, by the UN and US Congress, half a world away; how could anyone be surprised when Arab countries decided to DEFEND themselves? Talking of what is now the violent, apartheid State of Israel, in such mystifying and imaginary terms will not resolve the serious problems facing the region. It won't stop Israel from spreading the Polio virus around the world, by Israel's sadistic prevention of essential sanitation requirements in Gaza. A zionist might wish to make "poetic" statements about "God's plans" for "chosen zionists", but; believe me, if those zionists cause another pandemic, by their evil acts, NO ONE will be calling zionists "miraculous"! They have already demonstrated themselves to be committing Crimes Against Humanity. Please wake up!

Well you are deceived cause this is the story of the converted Jews not the blood related dna tested and proven Jews the limba and the Igbo tribes. Jew ppl or Israelites are what you called the negro. . Bible footnote:the negro not to be mistaken with the African or the Ethiopian. You familiar with Deuteronomy 28 read it whos story is that it’s the African slave trade should have been called the Jew slave trade. Over a million sold into slavery Africans didn’t sell Africans they sold the wondering Jews that ran to Africa to escape persecution. There are different tribes. What about revelations 2:9 . Ashkenazi Jews are ppl who chose to be Jews they are not direct descendants of the biblical blood line Jews. Know that and go do some research it’s all documented the Portugal have many records telling you who the Jews was and how many they killed or sold into slavery. Where in the Bible does it say they just escaped? It doesn’t it says they was enslave who is the only ppl on this earth that fits that tail the African Americans . The Bible says they was took by ship a yolk of iron placed around their next took to a foreign land they did not know made to be the bottom as all others on top . Read Deuteronomy 28 try to make it fit these ppl or any other . You can’t cause it’s not their story of what happened to those ppl

I'm a Jew, an atheist Jew. From where a Jew comes from is irrelevant, all that one has to have to be a Jew is to be born of a Jewish mother. This whole thing about being Jewish, has come to the for recently because of the ongoing dispute regarding the lands in what used to be called Palestine, and now Israel, and the lands it occupies that Arabs live on. Historically biblical Israel is the home of the Jews, but Jews, can and do live anywhere on the planet and do, and are still Jewish. Deuteronomy 28:64 (NIV): "Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods-gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known." This verse is part of a larger passage in Deuteronomy 28, which outlines the blessings for obedience and the curses for disobedience. The dispersion of the Israelites among the nations is one of the curses for turning away from God.
@Michael-wq7qx

This biblical text refers to a very ancient period in the history of the Jewish people. That was the period of transition from paganism to monotheism among the Jews. But you apply these divine words to a much later period. And this is completely wrong. The reasons for the dispersion of Jews around the world were, firstly, the Roman conquest when the pagan Romans tried their best to eradicate Jewish monotheism, and secondly, the Arab conquer of Palestine between 634 and 640 AD. BTW, by justifying the conqueror's violence against the Jews by the will of God, you are stepping on a very slippery slope along which you will land straight into the arms of the hideous tyrant of the last century with his policies towards the Jews.

Hence, the offer in bringing them back was rescinded in 70 CE through the 2nd temple destruction by a God-inspired Rome that totally obliterated Jerusalem (Israel's capital) and God's holy temple (God's holy sanctuary), which signifies God's total rejection of Israel as His holy nation and the Israelites as His holy people.

I'm 84 now, I grew up in London & my Jewish identity was not revealed to me & my siblings until around 25 years ago. Basically my parents had hidden their Jewish roots because of WW2 & trying to merge into the 'woodwork' of society. My father was pretty apologetic as he told me, and mainly we all laughed at this new information. But because of that I know very little of Jewish history or religious beliefs. I've been slowly figuring out what the facts are but the comical thing is when I think back to the people who were all around me as a child I wonder how I did not figure out the truth years ago ! Maybe because I was a kid always with a book & not paying too much attention to what was happening around me. My 3 siblings & I had no problem accepting this new reality, but as none of us are religious in any way, nobody wanted to join a Jewish congregation, but I do find myself constantly digging into ME history to enhance my knowledge of how the history developed. I sometimes smile at the knowledge that there are many, many people of Jewish heritage like me who may have absolutely no idea where they came from, so I often tell people expressing hatred towards any particular group - be careful who you decide to hate, you may in fact descend from those same people !!!

The Jews are related to religion and Judaism and not to RACE, to nationality or an ethnic belonging. I Always been Astonished and surprised when I heard people claiming they are Jews, and in the same time they are practicing not a single rite or commandment of Judaism. One Saturday (Shabbat day) I’ve Meet and discussed with a Jewish lady (so called Jewish), and during the conversation she said that she was Jewish, So I said I do respect your opinions and religion, I asked her: Do you observe Shabbat, she answered by No, I asked her : Do you eat porky, She said : Yes very often, then I asked her : Do you eat Kasher, She said No. I Asked her : Have you ever been into a Synagogue for praying, her answer was : No, then I asked her : Do you make fasting as the Jews do, She said No, My last question was : Have you ever slept with someone outside marriage, and she answered by Yes many time. So I said to that lady: Madame your are not a Jewish, you are a normal lady living a normal life as anyone else on earth and certainly not a Jewish. If you are not practicing Judaism, you are certainly not a Jewish gentle Lady. I Said to be Jewish, Christian, Muslim or Buddha or Shiva You have to practice that religion you claim belonging to and not doing the opposite.

There were a lot of Jews, in my family too, wanting to be free. Still, the Nazi's killed them in Auswitsch. Of course, we know the synagogue, and we follow a lot of rules, but not all of them. A lot of Jews don't. Some of my family members happened to be pretty famous. So, street names are called after those who gave their lives. It was a terrible time, with a lot of fear and treason. I am a Jew of African descent. My Paternal ORAL history places our Origins in Ethiopia. However, Paternal DNA places our Origins in The Levant (Typically known as “Israel” today) then to Eastern Africa (Malawi Bantu and Kenyan Bantu) to Western Africa/Angola/Nigeria (Igbo) to Central America (Indigenous Yucatan Peninsula) to the United States (Indigenous North American Peoples). Because all of this is from my Father (and not my Mother), I made formal Return (Teshuvah) to comply with Halacha. FYI - I don’t believe the Igbo DNA trek from Nigeria to the Yucatán Peninsula was voluntary. Also - FOR ME: It’s not about being Jew-ish….For many in Diaspora….We didn’t get to attend services in Synagogues. For us it’s about the oral history about being descendants of Ya’akov, which is proven out via our DNA, coupled with the oral traditions (keeping Shabbat, etc) handed down thru all the generations that seals it for us. Am Israel Chai!! 🥰✡️

Watching this video brought me to tears. As a Jew with a family mosaic spanning Portugal/Spain, Libya, Bulgaria, Poland, Morocco, and Romania, I feel the profound weight of our complex history in every fiber of my being. It's utterly heartbreaking to witness how Jews have tenaciously clung to their identity through millennia of relentless persecution, only to face continued existential threats and challenges in our ancestral homeland. The intricate tapestry of Jewish experiences, including my own family's arduous journey, all converge in Israel - a land that pulses through our veins and echoes in the depths of our collective memory. It's beyond frustrating to see our unbreakable connection to this sacred soil questioned when it's so deeply embedded in the very fabric of our history, culture, and soul. In every generation, we bear witness to the awe-inspiring bravery of individuals who selflessly sacrifice to shield the flickering flame of Jewish life from being extinguished. It's emotionally draining and profoundly sad. We yearn for nothing more than to live in peace, to breathe freely, and to pour our hearts into building a vibrant, thriving society in our eternal homeland, Israel. The world's unrelenting hostility and fixation on our destruction is both utterly incomprehensible and soul-crushingly disheartening. This video serves as a searingly powerful reminder of our unbreakable bond with Israel and the paramount importance of safeguarding our heritage, even as many Jews today may not identify with the religious aspects of our identity. Ours is a story of unparalleled resilience, of rising from the ashes time and time again. I fervently hope that more people can open their hearts to understand and respect the singular nature of our journey - a journey that has shaped the very course of human history and continues to inspire generations to stand tall in the face of adversity. Am Yisrael Chai.

@Michael-wq7qx An excerpt taken from the Hamas Covenant of 1988, Article 7 that reads in proper context, quoted word-for-word as follows : The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the links in the chain of the struggle against the ZIONIST invaders. It goes back to 1939, to the emergence of the martyr Izz al-Din al Kissam and his brethren the fighters, members of Moslem Brotherhood. It goes on to reach out and become one with another chain that includes the struggle of the Palestinians and Moslem Brotherhood in the 1948 war and the Jihad operations of the Moslem Brotherhood in 1968 and after. Moreover, if the links have been distant from each other and if obstacles, placed by those who are the lackeys of ZIONISM in the way of the fighters obstructed the continuation of the struggle, the Islamic Resistance Movement aspires to the realisation of Allah's promise, no matter how long that should take. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said: "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the [ZIONIST] Jews, when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." >> In other words, the Jihad struggle is specifically targeted against the ZIONIST invaders i.e. the Pro-Zionist Jews, not the Anti-Zionist Jews or Judaism.

They share a common gene pool dating back four millennia as a marker of their common ancestral origin. See: Balter, Michael "Tracing the Roots of Jewishness"- SCIENCE, June 3, 2010.

History reflects that Abram/Abraham is from Chaldea (modern Kuwait). My question is what about the Canaanites and Perizzites who were already inhabitants of the land before Abram’s arrival to Hebron and Lot’s settlement of the plains of Jordan? Both Lot and Abram are from Chaldea making them Chaldeans. Neither was indigenously from the land of Canaan (son of Hamm, son of Noah). Canaan was Noah’s 1st generation grandson. The lands of Canaan stretched from South Sudan/Ethiopia through Egypt along the coast to the border of Turkey. If I recall correctly Noah’s story happens before Abram’s. Abram’s story doesn’t happen for nearly 1000 years after Noah and the Ark. So how does Abram and his descendants have birth right to Canaanite lands when they were still living on the land when he got there?

The Arab conquerors did not destroy the agricultural population they found in the country. They expelled only the alien Byzantine rulers and did not touch the local population. Nor did the Arabs go in for settlement. The greater majority and main structures of the Muslim falahin in western Eretz Israel present to us one racial strand and a whole ethnic unit, and there is no doubt that much Jewish blood flows in their veins - the blood of those Jewish farmers, “lay persons,” who chose in the travesty of times to abandon their faith in order to remain on their land."

@@UNPACKED I am just using a definition accepted by scholars and historians. You can address your resentment to them. There are other historical examples where groups once considered indigenous to a particular region have, over time, lost that status as they became the dominant culture or power in that area. The shift in power and cultural dominance leads to changes in how "indigenous" status is perceived and recognized. The term "indigenous" tends to be reserved for groups that maintain a distinct cultural identity and a historical connection to a particular territory, often in the face of colonization or domination by another culture. When the previously indigenous group becomes dominant, they usually lose that status, as the term "indigenous" typically implies a marginalized or subjugated position within the broader sociopolitical context.

All major Jewish ethnic groups share common ancestors from the Levant (about 40-60% Levant in Ashkenazi Jews and 50-80% Levant in Mizrahi Jews) Ashkenazi Jews formed from Jewish men who were exiled by Romans about 2000 years ago and converted Roman women, while Mizrahi Jews come from the Babylonian exile about 2500 years ago after which they mixed with Mesopotamians (Iraq)/Iranians. Sephardi Jews have a common origin with Ashkenazi Jews (Jewish men + Roman women) but after the 1492 inquistion and exile from Spain those who moved to the Middle East mixed with Mizrahi Jews. There's also Italkim, Romaniotes and so on but they mostly resemble Ashkenazi/Sephardi Jews genetically Some smaller Jewish groups (Yemenite/Ethiopian/Kaifeng etc.) have a heavier influence of converts on their DNA but have kept traditions for thousands of years too So yes we're all from Israel

@shikochin4962 The word "Jews" merely reflects a culture (Jewish), lifestyle (leading a way of life that pleases God) and religion (Judaism), "Jews" does NOT reflect a race that comes from paternal genealogy or ethnicity that comes from tribe affiliation. Israel was not created by the British. Moreover, they abandoned the principles of the Balfour Declaration and in 1939 severely restricted Jewish immigration to Palestine and limited Arab land sales to the Jews, thus forcing them to begin fighting against British colonial rule in Palestine. Israel was created on the basis of November 1947 UN General Assembly resolution number 181 to partition Palestine between Jews and Arabs which was gladly accepted by Jews and indignantly rejected by Arabs who immediately attacked the emerging Jewish state but were defeated. Up to this day terrorist organizations don't recognize that resolution and that's the fount of the problems in the Middle East.

How do you discuss Jewish origins without reference to DNA data? According to several studies by geneticists Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews hail from the Zagros mountains of Iran and the Caucasus mountains. They migrated to Palestine circa 4,000 years ago and intermixed with the natives of the Palestine/Canaan region.

@mujemoabraham6522 ISRAELITES, the Legal descendants of Jacob through Paternal genealogy with Tribal affiliation (God's Legitimate chosen people) don't exist anymore who were gradually wiped out of existence from 70 CE (over 1,950 years ago) during which time Israel's capital Jerusalem was invaded by the Roman empire which totally destroyed God's temple (holy of holies) that signifies an end of the Jewish state and dynasty. @Memeoup During the biblical times when the Paternal descendants of Jacob, the "Israelites" existed, they were "Jews" by CULTURE in abidance to God's commandments and LIFESTYLE in leading a way of life that pleases God. 1. "Israelite" refers to a RACE & ETHNICITY with a Paternal genealogy that is paternally traced back to Jacob exclusively through Male lineage that comes complete with a Tribal identity being traced back to one of Jacob's 12 sons that represent Israel's 12 different Tribes. 2. "Jew" refers to a CULTURE (Jewish) & LIFESTYLE (leading a way of life that pleases God). Read Esther 2:5 - In Shushan the palace, there was a "Jew" by the name of Mordecai the descendant of Jair, the descendant of Shimei, the descendant of Kish, a "Benjamite" [from the Tribe of Benjamin].

@@Memeoup I'm not sure why the last Israeli president said the existence of Israel might end, but to me, the BIBLICAL Israel had already ended in 70 CE, the time when the 2nd holy temple (holy of holies) destruction in Jerusalem took place where God (YHWH) out of extreme rage with Israel's recurring sins and unrepentance, inspired Rome to invade Jerusalem that completely wiped out His holy temple (holy of holies) which signifies the complete end of the Jewish state and dynasty. The New state of Israel that was established in 1948 is NOT a Jewish state at all but a SECULAR Zionist state formed by 2 European atheists named Theodor Herzl from Austria-Hungary and Chaim Weizmann from Germany, both of whom ironically do not believe in the existence of God (YHWH).

Palestinians are Arabs living in Palestine. According to the Bible, Abraham is the common ancestor of the Jews and the Arabs. Genetic findings indicate that Jewish groups show genetic proximity to Arabs("Genetic studies of Jews ", 3d paragraph). But proximity doesn't mean identity. BTW, DNA analysis of human remains taken from Canaan ancient Jewish burials definitely indicates that modern Jews are descendants of those Canaan Jews. See: Katsnelson, Alla "Jews worldwide share genetic ties." NATURE. 3 June 2010; Fudakis, Tony "Ashkenazi Jews " in "Molecular Photofitting: Predicting Ancestry and Phenotype Using DNA." Elsevier, 2010, p.383. And don't miss the article: Lawley, Andrew "DNA from the Bible's Canaanites lives on in modern Arabs and Jews." NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, 28 September 2020. All those questions solved by science are deliberately confused by antizionists(a modern euphemism for antisemites).

The history of Jews in the Iberian Peninsula (Sefarad) has been largely discussed and there has been a lot of misinformation, usually from Anglo-Saxon historians and French historians who are very good in hiding their own faults by accusing others. French, English and other European countries were much more savage and cruel to Jews than the Spaniards. Even the Portuguese were worse. It's too long to discuss here, but it may help if you ask yourself a very simple question: Why do Sephardic Jews have this undeniable nostalgia for the time they lived in Spain? Most of the Jews who left Spain kept Ladino as their language and some, although few now, continue to speak it.
