The reason the East Africans were taken to other countries was because great Brittain and France started fighting and, in the process, was destroying the East African plantation. So Portugal said f- it, they messing up the money and started another mission. Soooo, the main reason is, voyages to the Americans became too expensive because ninjas were revolting, and Europeans started fighting again, which is also why Russia was upset (but that's a whole other story and yes, they were at the Berlin conference)

Remember Brazil is very close to West Africa and in ancient times the South American continent was a part of Africa on the western coast until it split and drifted away further to it's current location in the West. History and so many indisputable facts also prove the direct link of the Western black diaspora to West Africa- Brazil has outside of Africa the biggest black diaspora community and there a majority black Brazilians who till today practice Ifa, a West African traditional religion practiced mainly in Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire. Even in the West Indies especially in Jamaica there are tribes that speak the Ashanti language spoken by the modern day Ashanti of Ghana. Haitians have very similar culture to the people of Benin/Togo. There are many more examples or historical references that point to the West-African ancestral and cultural origins of the black if.
