RAID! Before I even made the sponsor joke, I assumed it was raid but Forreal that game is very addicting once you get used to each champion and their abilities.

One thing I am interested in is how each color now has a "lore timer" they can splash into their deck. For set two its only been amethyst with spellbook (and goat in some cases) that puts your opponent on the clock of "draw your out in X turns or i win in X turns". I can easily see each deck using locations as a 1-2 tech option to ensure they have a late game push. That combined with how much benefits some locations give, i think locations will definitely become a deck staple going forward. maybe not now, but certainly as the game grows.

Sweet! We’re getting the first Treasure Planet location card in the form of the RLS Legacy! I hope that we’ll get the other TP location ones in a future set or future sets like the BennBow Inn, the Montressor Spaceport, and of course, Treasure Planet itself! 😁

I like the MTG enchantment comparison, but I also like that these don’t require a special card to remove. Excited for this set!

The best part if locations is be prepared and draw your swords do nothing to them.

I like the comparison to a magic enchantment that you pay to use. it makes it very easy for me to explain why locations are bad ( with the exception of 4 mana ones that go with jim hawkins). magic cards you have to pay for and then put more mana into in the future rarely see play because most of the time you are overpaying for what you get out of it significantly. locations are even worse as they are basically 0 attack characters that come in exerted and quest every turn.

You should probably play with them first. They are absolutely going to change how you play the game. Unlike Enchantments in MtG, most locations are actively gaining lore, aka pinging your opponent for life with NO further cost. Everything beyond that is a bonus.

@@connormraz6628 it isn't a bad play. I just got beaten by a Beast - Relentless combo. It was enabled BECAUSE of a location, specifically the Bayou. The Sheriff that deals a point of damage to a character whenever you discard a card pairs very well for a three card combo that is surprisingly hard to interact with if you don't have the necessary targeted removal then and there. This is just one example. Trust me, man, I've got 27+ years experience in card games, starting with Magic back in 97. Locations are absolutely a game changer. Some of them will absolutely suck and be a trap, but that is true of all cards and all card types.

@@Xoulrath_ a combo piece is unrelated my point is most of the locations are bad becuase they require time and extra resources to get good value. 1 card being a combo piece doesn't make the other cards that don't combo good cards.

Playing off what Scott was thinking....I'd compare locations to equipment in magic. Pay a cost to play it....needs character....and an equip cost.
