The squad is to young/inexperienced. The new manager is stubborn and has no plan b. We have no leaders/proven players. We live and die by Cole and his pens. Thats of the top of my head but there are surely other "points" the punderty and Co have spit out since Dec.2023./Jan.2024. Let them talk, thats all they can do. We are only going to get better and better, just sit back and enjoy our success and there tears.

I’m not sure why everyone says that they have one team for the prem and another for cups. It’s clear that the teams are divided not by competition but which day of the week they’re playing. Prem games midweek will have the midweek team and it’s so smart to keep all the players fresh and safer from injuries.

Exactly, players that recover faster or has a larger energy tank, make the top choice and players with less yet match up particularly against certain opponents make the rest and the third level make the bench.

We have stability but it’s not even Xmas yet. I think the “title contenders” is still a bit premature. We’ve spent a lot of money to be here and I’m not complaining but there really is no need to rush into big claims such as battling for the title. Taking each game as it comes and getting 3 points is what’s most important. If we somehow do win the title then that’s perfect but I wouldn’t say we’re contenders yet. We drew 1-1 against Arsenal and even Man Utd

People need to realise the chaos came as a consequence of the sanctions. It was inevitable. Having to fast-track a multi-billion pound purchase because the club were in danger of going under in a matter of months (look how long INEOS took with United) meant that Clearlake then had to scramble and rush to get the infrastructure in place, and as a consequence, didn't get a few appointments right first time and had to change (call it ruthless, but the club has massively benefitted from the decision to act fast and rectify those mistakes) That first transfer window with Boehly as sporting director was such a mess, but after all the sanctions, turning a club that was already in decline to one currently in the ascendency in such a short period of time (look at how long it took Liverpool and Arsenal, while United are still struggling) is a massive credit to the job Paul Winstanley, Laurence Stewart and Joe Shields have done since they were appointed. Almost all their business has been excellent (I don’t like selling academy players for pure profit, but it feels like Clearlake challenged them to turn things around as quickly as possible and this was the route they identified)
