nothing will be divulged on the day as was the practice for the last decade and the policy matters follows in some other ways after sometime and escape the nose of avarage trader or investor .. and two all this noise of derivative trading may be only up to the budget day .. as an excuse to increase the taxes and that is wrong a major wrong may be in Indian economy. .. and the retail traders were made out of the block Indian markets would loose the sheen .. for the fiis and the subsequent result in not so obvious. and vijays attempts to peek into the clues are a above so many in his ilk. great information for serious traders.

This month, the BANKNIFTY future expiry is not 1 day difference to NIFTY. Its almost a week away (later) than NIFTY. This could lead to time offset in BANKNIFTY movement compared to overall NIFTY. Or even, initial few days next NIFTY expiry could be indecisive also (like you mentioned, few days after budget might be indecisive)
