I think the short answer is outside of optics the longer the range the less attachments matter. Just have to play differently. Though there is obviously still the strong argument for being suppressed whenever you can be.

The M1A is supposed to be worse then all of them, really. All it is is a civilian version of the M14, one of the cheaper ways to run .308, like the RFB but more modular.

Im relatively sure tarkov has a gearscore system that puts you in raids with people that have similar gear as you. Kinda like dark and darker

m1a is bad on its own, its just nerfed into oblivion, mods will help but i see ppl runnin m1a only for test drive
