Great video, Ben. I tried to cruise MSC last fall. I booked New England/Canada. Got an email that my cruise had been canceled and to call. I called and they told me, "your cruise wasn't canceled, just a slight itinerary change." Round trip from some town in Italy. If that is a slight change, I'd hate to see a significant one! 😂

Your cruise for moved from Canada to Italy and it was a ‘flight itinerary change’? 😂 only a few thousand miles apart! MSC is a really mixed bag, some people have great experiences and some don’t, we had very very few complaints on this cruise! I would definitely go MSC again, but it’s always fun trying different cruise lines. Thanks for watching early, Matthew!

We were on this voyage at the same time as you but we boarded in Miami so this was our last of 22 days. We've done 20 cruises but this was our first with MSC and it was one of our very favourites. Beautiful ship, excellent service and pretty good food.

Hi Ben & Mom, thanks for another great video! I think MSC should sponsor you both for another cruise 😬… a longer one! You are right in that I have watched other cruise videos and MSC has not had really great reviews. You’ve shown the great decor (the glittery stairs still look a bit scary to me although they are beautiful 🤣), room, entertainment, yummy FOOD.. everything looks so good. I think with your highly positive and happy outlook, you will enjoy any cruise or holiday - well perhaps not as much in cold climates 🤣. I love cruise videos although I haven’t been on a cruise. I’m afraid of getting seasick and I’m also terrified of crowds. So I will just enjoy vicariously 😬.

We honestly had a great cruise, we would definitely cruise MSC again, hopefully longer next time but we couldn’t pass up the chance to take this short cruise for a bargain price! MSC does get many negative reviews but we were very happy with this cruise. I understand the fear of seasickness 😂 I think that’s the reason many people don’t want to cruise but there’s many of these short cruises just to try it out! Thanks again for your support 😊🙏

Ben, good heavens your Mum could tell people she was your older sister and no one would question. Good genes everywhere in that family. We're doing Holland America early next year (Fort Lauderdale to Rotterdam) but we'll keep MSC in mind for the future.

Good video. Yes you should not take any ship by word but experience it yourself. I did exactly what you suggested to find out if I liked cruising. A 3 day to Mexico. It just wasn't enough time on the sea for me. I could also live or do a world cruise.

I definitely agree Carol, you’ve got to try it! Some people love it and some hate it but seeing for you sort of the key thing. A short cruise is a great way to see if cruising if for you. A world cruise sounds amazing to me 😂

I've sailed on the Divina twice. Had a great time and it truly is a beautiful ship. I wonder if you had the pleasure of meeting a crew member by the name of Charlie? We called him Singing Charlie. He worked at the entrance to the theatre and sometimes the dinning room. Best crew member I've ever met. Thank you for sharing your MSC experience.

I didn't mind MSC but there were too many kids/families and lots of hidden extras but my cabin was lovely!

Very few kids on this cruise, you must choose to cruise at a bad time! We did not pay any hidden extras :) Cabin was great!

You do have one advantage to those of us in North America, especially from Canada, as we would be paying an additional $$$ to get to a port - say NYC $425 , Tampa from $450 - $750 and since that would be a starting point for a cruise Do many cruises let you come in mid to end point, or is that an MSC bang for your buck and fill-up ship? I am looking for my 14 day solo cruise on NCL Encore in November from Miami.... but I will also have to spend a night in Miami pre-cruise..... But the total price I just couldn't resist!

You’ve got to play to your strengths, Anda 😁 MSC is the only cruise line I know that splits up a longer cruise into ‘shorter’ cruises and people can join any day. That’s great! What price did you get on the NCL Encore in November?

@@TravelWithBen121 nothing CLOSE to the good deals you get, but trip, all flights, insurance, 2 specialty meals, $50 off excursions, paying gratuities for general service and the 2 specialty meals and the (included) Starbucks package, and upgraded Wi-Fi (I feel like I am missing something but....) around $3,400-$3,600 Canadian fora 14 day cruise plus. The insurance and flights concerned me most since flights in, plus to and from Canada are more expensive than in US. When I was looking up flights, the lowest fare I found was ~ $1200. Through NCL it was $900. What this all does not include was hotel in Miami the night before or taxi/uber to hotel and dock... and I have read horrors about the Miami scams. Solo Cabin was also cheaper, now sold out.

We both had the water/coffee package. Everyone in the same cabin must have the same package. For example, 2 people in the same cabin, 1 cannot have the drinks package, both need to.

@@TravelWithBen121 Wow!!! I guess that one of the downsides of several cruise companies, notably the American based ones, is the additional fees attributable to the obligatory gratuities. The USA hospitality industry needs a radical shake up when it comes to staff remuneration. A decent income that is reliant on tips is archaic and utterly degrading. Apologies for the sound-off!
