My answer to your question is 'No'. It doesn't bother me a bit. What does bother me is that with the ever increasing costs of the TV deals the fan / not at track viewer will likely just see more commercials. The TV deals create more of the same repetitive and stupid 'commercials' that interrupt the coverage and flow of any race. And usually the coverage only comes back 'after the break' only to show us the replay. Side by side..... lol....

I went to school and grew up around Ashburn back in the days of the HOGS and Joe Gibbs~ why I've always been a JGR fan, Coach is a Legend to us Skins fans. Thought that commercial was really awesome! And I'm no Josef fan, when he crashes out I jump for joy like JD5 just hit Scary Terry in the endzone with a bullet! Yes, I know he's a nice guy, but in a car I have some problems. I'm scared for the fans. Open wheel racing will never be as popular in America. It will always be seen as imported from over seas, which it is. It's not homegrown grassroots. The problem with indycar fans is they are more invested in making the sport popular than they are invested in a racing product. Then fox comes along with what can best be described as a desperate attempt to recoup some of the funds spend on the license and now they think they're getting what they want. In two years, when Fox figures out the return on ad spend, and then starts tossing around the idea for remote booths for indycar races, the fans will learn about Fox then... And a side note on indycar in general, it sucks because Roger Penske literally owns everything. Imagine Rick Hendrick owned Nascar, the best tracks, the title sponsor, the best team and the best drivers.

IndyCar is getting about the same about from Fox as they did from NBC (only $20 million or so per year). Notice how the Fox ad likens Josef Newgarden (German name, Herm) to Tom Brady ("The Tom Brady of IndyCar", if you will). I know people don't want to hear it, but IndyCar rewards drivers who demonstrate excellence, and NASCAR doesn't. That's probably why there's not a NASCAR on Fox ad that's like this one.

You either gonna watch the NASCAR race or the IndyCar race when it's on so why would NASCAR fans get upset bc they advertising it. Fox i don't think wanted as many And I remember with the last TV deal when it was signed in 2013 with fox originally they had less races and so did NBC but nobody wanted 5-6 races at that time so both networks picked up races. Thats what NASCAR gets for taking the Coke 600 away from Fox. IndyCar lines up perfectly as an entity for Fox as well. Its a sports series they can carry from the end of football to the start of football. Only natural that Fox prioritize IndyCar now. Expect more ads like this one. One race draws fans and viewers. The rest get less viewers than Xfinity and truck races. Hopefully Fox can get more viewers to Indy car. Fast is good but, faster doesn't make racing more entertaining without having some other drama like crashes and competitive close margins of victory.

I'm not jealous. Just angry and disappointed. Throughout my 25 years as a fan, I have NEVER seen NASCAR on Fox stoop so low as this season. They sold themselves out to IndyCar and threw NASCAR to the trash bin. While I'm glad they are making big strides with IndyCar and advertising it heavily, it just adds insult to injury that they haven't done the same for NASCAR for the past 8 years now. There was PLENTY of room for BOTH series to coexist, especially with Kyle Larson potentially doing Double Duty this year, imagine the possibility of showing the Indy 500, then cover his long odyssey to Charlotte to race the 600, it would have been GANGBUSTERS. But no, instead, we get an absolute twisted joke of a TV deal where only *4* races will be broadcast on antenna TV. This absolutely blows. And the sad part? We're gonna have to cope with it for the 7 dam years that is to come

I think there's going to be plenty of advertising done by NASCAR throughout the season. Production days haven't even happened yet so once that happens nascar will have ads and I'm sure Fox will have ads with drivers

watching Indycar on ovals going 220mph is way more exciting than nascar but indycar doesnt run many ovals anymore. When they first started irl back in the 90s it was a oval series. Now its mostly street courses and road courses.

Indycar is a far better on track product than NASCAR. Living in Alabama, I attend the Indy GrandPrix at Barber every year, but never go to Talladega. Indycar is better racing and much better fan access.
