I am not expert in finding pros and cons but typing is good 👌 I am able to type faster. Now "she" has to give me the tips on how to use it regarding the software and lighting effects. Blues are clicky and provide a sound when you press them. They're easier to produce and hence usually have fewer quality issues. Red are superior linear switches that are pretty silent and easy on your fingers. But they're a bit more complex and can have some quality issues in some units.

It's kinda true if you type with a lot of pressure. You can definitely type fast, but I found that you need to reduce the amount of pressure you put on the keys. I'll cover this more in my long-term review in another week.

Brown is tactile, so you get a bumpy feel when typing on it. The blues are tactile and clicky, so you get both a bump and a click sound when you press them. I think these silent linear switches are superior to those, for smoother operation.

Well, this costs twice as much as the FireBlade, but the lights are much better and so are the switches. The FireBlade is quite good, but this is definitely a better keyboard if you don't mind the price.

I haven't tried it, but no. The macros aren't stored in the keyboard memory. They're in the PC where you created them. You'll have to import them to other machines too.

Brown is a tactile switch, right? If you want that clicky feel, then you can go for it. But I prefer something that's smooth and silent. The Red (and even black) linear ones are great for that. I use it for coding/typing too.👍🏻🙂

Using this one now. It's way better. Keyswitches are much smoother, lights are more uniform, it's an overall upgrade.

There is a white static light that stays on the caps lock key when on. There doesn't seem to be any LED indication about the Windows lock.

It's a little difficult to tell in the "falling stars" mode where every key is independently switching colors randomly. But other color modes are fine, as the caps lock remains white when on.

Actually I misspoke. It doesn't have optical sensors, just mechanical actuation.

Yeah, the blues can be pretty clicky and noisy. Your budget options for browns are full form ones. I guess reds are a decent choice.🙂

GK16 has outemu blue switches (clicky sound). The GK18 has outemu red linear switches (silent).
