I was so disappointed with my CRBN zero pro mask. I’ve used many different masks over the years, profilers, proflex, eflex and never had a single fogging issue. With my Crbn mask, I have to jump through hoops to get it to not fog, including taping up the entire bottom vent between the foam and lenses… and even that doesn’t completely resolve the issue. Overall super disappointed, for the cost of the mask, it should not require any modifications to help with fogging. Sucks cause I do like most of the gear I have tried from them, especially their pod packs…. But this mask, just nope, hard pass. It’s a huge elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about… a $230 mask that has a serious fogging issues while almost all the competition do not have this issue (and MUCH less expensive too)

Started with JT masks in the mid to late 90s I hated the cleaning process and coverage on my fairly large head . Swapped to a Profiler soon as they came out and fairly recently in 2021 switched to an EVS with the same profiler and a clear lens as a backup for woods. The profilers quick swap lenses were quite the innovation when they first came out by todays standards the are kind of a pita but still a solid mask choice to this day.

Profilers are the most affordable mask out and I think they look pretty good. I still have never had EVS but I have heard great things about them.

Back in middle school I had upgraded my mask at some point, just because the ones I had would fog up quickly. I took it out back and sat it on a ledge, shot it one time and a chuck of the face mask snapped off, I has been wearing that mask for probably 6 months, it was kind of terrifying.

DYE i4 pro invasion mask, first owned masked and looking to get the Carbon Zero pros. The only problem that i have with the i4 pro is that with glass, it fits abit tight on my head. I have to adjust it abit for it to be comfortable when i have it on. Ventilation isnt the greatest and after running around in Texas Heat all day as a ref, i would have to wipe my glasses and a slight bit of fog on the lens.

Yeah I don't have great experiences with Dye mask but Proflex's seem to be the best for glasses. I have never tried the CRBN goggles with glasses.

Something that ive found about the crbn is that it is extremely prone to fogging in cold weather. Friend had to pack the vents with paper towels to stop them from fogging

I wore a JT Proflex for quite a while. Picked up a Proflex X for my loaner setup and holy shit, the lens change on the X is amazing. The original Proflex had me swearing and ready to whip it right out the window. I still have my Proflex but I wear surgical gloves when I swap lenses because otherwise I will smudge it with fingerprints. JT Proflex X for the win!

@@MattTheGymRat only thing I can think of is the front of the mask is rather stiff; when you shoulder your marker the mask bumps into the tank. I fixed that by trimming a little bit off the bottom with a utility knife and now I have no issue with it.

I have a CRBN SLD and Zero Pro, wouldn’t choose anything else. I also own three Jt, HK SLR and BK CMD. CRBN is still the best

Using an eflex right now (used to use a proflex). It's totally fine. I like it better than the proflex. I'd go for a crbn one but they cost more than I really want to spend.

I have never used Eflex but they look exactly like proflexes. The Carbon mask are like a mix of proflex and push mask in my opinion.

I will say the reason they got a 9 out of 10 in the first test was for the fog I have had with them previously. Also I said the foam is not as comfortable as the JT, I didn't say I disliked it. And the bunkers aren't mine, they haven't left that field in 3 years 🤣

I used to ref paintball for many years, I always tell players to get a decent mask, and swap out your lenses every year. Make sure it has a ANSI certification. Old lenses will dry out and crack and repetitive hits will go through. The mask should cover your ears and chin too. Those airsoft players with sunglasses will eventually lose a tooth. Don't be that guy.
