Traveling along with you two and Punkin is cheering me on these days. I am now 75 and the arthritis and autoimmune diseases are keeping me around home. And my Sweetheart of 55 yrs had a massive stroke and passed away this past June. I am also from Seattle and met my handsome young airman when he was stationed out there in 1966 at McChord AFB. When he got out we moved back to the Midwest to his hometown. So here I am in the middle of the country without him. But we were blessed and have several kids and grandkids and even 2 great grands in this area. But I will follow you and a couple other that I enjoy and satisfy my wanderlust that way. I’ve never been to Michigan but you’ve shown me how beautiful the summers are there! Love ya!

Hi! Enjoying your videos. On a hot summer day that would be a great place to enjoy the beach. This year I've been getting the funkiest acorn growth as they are smaller. In the past I've had huge bumper crops of nice size ones. I like Scotty's walking stick and looked like good wood. Old wood builds like that stay warm in winter and cool during the summer. Now a days it would cost a fortune to build one. The one good thing about having a fire it helps to keep the bugs away. Clean looking camp. Hope all is going well. Hugs to Punkin and Love y'all.

we do the samething, we hunt for extra wood, I say keep going Scotty! The West side of our state, is getting the rain and here on the southeastern side, is so dry! Send some of that rain our way! Yes that is common in Michigan, road side stands for the honor system. Wood, flowers, fruit! Just put your money in the cup kind of thing, that lighthouse is worth going into, especially for the price. We have been there! Its weird he has that souvenier stick, my husband found one along lake michigan too! LOL..........YES< we do have alot of water, but with that comes the bugs. NO dont come to the UP, before the end of July, they have black flies and those suckers do not stop biting until they draw blood. Im telling you, if you do not get the U P, you will be sorry! Its like stepping back in time, same goes for Mackinaw Island, (no motorized vehicles on the island) OH and the waterfalls in the UP, one right after the other! Tipi Kipi pull ferry is one of a kind with the natural spring coming up, where you can see 40 feet down and the rainbow trout at the bottom, or the historic village of Fayette, take the mine ride down to the copper mine and hear about that. Munising, take the boat ride out to Pictured Rocks, Taquamina Falls - WOW, Soo Saint Marie the locks and its history. Copper Harbor the top of the Kewanaa, Fort Wilkins (no relation LOL), Porcupine Mts, and so, so much more!...........Once again, IF you have any questoins on the do's and don'ts just ask!

Haven’t been to the lighthouse. The lakes around Michigan are amazing. Maybe next trip you can come a little further East. MAINE to be exact! I’m buying the lobster rolls! 🦞😎

Wait till you get to the U.P. It is very rustic up here it is not like Traverse City. If you do come back you have to come to the U.P. in August when all the berries are out and free for the picking.

Those Navigator things get messed up sometimes. Mine sent Me around in circles once back when I was driving. Luckily knew where I was going.
